Once upon a time, these lands belonged to the Makhotinsky farm, built by the police chief Makhotin in the middle of the 19th century. Since the 1870s, this area has become the property of Shchelokov. This is a local grocer, engaged in new possessions of sugar production. It was from here that one of the folk names of the forest park went - "Sugar Dol". To date, the Grove Grove and the Schelokovo Farm have been recognized as nature monuments and are protected. The vast territory of forest parks is studied by specialists and is improved from time to time. In 1967, a cascade of three lakes appeared here.
