"Favorite role"

One of the performances, which was staged at the Andrei Obraztsov puppet theater, Andrei Dennikov, was "Nijinsky, the crazy God clown". He played the main role in it. The play was created based on the diaries of V. Nezhinsky and G. Blamstein's play. It was the role of this great dancer who was the most beloved for A. Dennikov. Vatslav's personality carried away the director after reading a book about him and his diaries. Andrei wanted to make a play about this genius man. And A. Dennikov decided that this should not be an ordinary production, but as strange as V. Nijinsky himself was. According to Andrew, he was an angel on earth, and therefore did not fit into the world around him, just as in his time W. Mozart, S. Yesenin. This performance is not only about the talent and complex life of genius. He is also about slavery. Artists always become slaves of the art they serve. And this is the problem. V. Nijinsky was dependent on the ballet and from S. Diaghilev. Wenceslas's wife depended on her love for him. And she did not get what she expected from him in return. But V. Nizhinsky is not to blame for the fact that she did not have enough of his love. For him, the main thing is art. He does not live up to his wife's expectations because he is a slave of the ballet and can not give her more attention. Here all are guilty and during too time anybody in what is not guilty.

In this performance, there is something to think about.
