Analysis of the poem "To Chaadayev" - the famous work of Alexander Pushkin

Analysis of the poem "Towards Chaadayev" is based on the identification of the main meaning of the work. This verse is written in the epistolary genre. His literary trend is sentimentalism: Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin opens the reader to the depth of his experiences. The theme of this poem is appropriate to include the time itself, which relies on the author.

Many biographical sources indicate that the poem was written by Pushkin in 1818, but there are also those that give rise to doubts about the official date of its creation. Most likely, this poem was written after the revolution of 1817, when the optimism and patriotism of many Russian military forces finally died out. This is indicated by the revolutionary orientation of the work and the call of the young poet to believe in the liberation of the motherland from the yoke of the autocratic leadership. The word "comrade", used by Pushkin in this poem, for him was equated with the expression "close friend". At a time when the author was just learning, filling his life with lyrics and striving for the liberation of the Russian people, Chaadaev already served in the war, risking becoming a disappointed and irritated homeland.

Alexander Pushkin believed that sooner or later the autocratic power would collapse, and on its ruins erected non-miraculous monuments to those who believed in the greatness of the Russian people in spite of the meager scientific and financial situation. If we turn to the correspondence between Chaadaev and Pushkin, it is possible to draw a groundbreaking conclusion that after 15-20 years they became obvious political opponents. So what did Pushkin feel to Chaadaev after all ? The verse gives a quite vital answer to this. We will see this, only read it more attentively and feel the author's mood. The poem "Towards Chaadayev" begins with the recognition of the author: he reveals his sadness and longing for peace time. Pushkin writes that "deceit did not live long with deceit", which means his desire to experience the glory of a poet and a peaceful figure, and not valiantly endure a war where injustice and revenge reign. Using the pronoun "us" at the beginning of the poem, he emphasizes that common spiritual bitterness that exists.
