"Fathers and children": actors. "Fathers and children": the main actors and their description. How many actors in the work "Fathers and Sons" by Turgenev?

In the novel "Fathers and Sons" the actors are very diverse and interesting in their own way. This article presents a brief description of each of them. Until now, the novel "Fathers and Sons" is still relevant. The characters of this work, as well as the problems touched upon by the author, are interesting in any historical period.

Bazarov Evgeny Vasilievich

The main hero of the novel is Bazarov Eugene Vasilievich. The reader does not know much about him at first. We know that this is a medical student who came for a vacation in the village. The story of the time he spent outside the school, and makes the plot of the work. First the student visits the family of Arkady Kirsanov, his friend, after which he goes with him to the provincial town. Here, Eugene Bazarov gets acquainted with Odintsova Anna Sergeyevna, for a while she lives in her estate, but after an unsuccessful explanation she is forced to leave. Next, the hero is in the parents' house. He does not live long here, as longing makes him repeat the route just described. It turns out that Eugene from the novel "Fathers and Sons" can not be happy anywhere. The actors of the work are alien to him. The hero can not find a place in the Russian reality. He returns home. Where the hero of the novel "Fathers and Sons" perishes.

Actors, the description of which we compose, are curious in terms of the refraction of the era in their characters. In Eugene, perhaps, his "nihilism" is the most interesting. For him, this is a whole philosophy. This hero - the spokesman of the moods and ideas of revolutionary youth. Bazarov denies everything, does not recognize any authority. He is alien to such aspects of life as love, the beauty of nature, music, poetry, family ties, philosophical thinking, altruistic feelings. The hero does not recognize duty, right, duty.

Eugene easily wins in disputes with Kirsanov Pavel Petrovich, a moderate liberal. On the side of this hero is not only the youth and the novelty of the position. The author sees that "nihilism" is connected with popular discontent and social disorder. It expresses the spirit of the times. The hero is experiencing a longing for loneliness, tragic love. It is found that he is dependent on the laws of ordinary human life, is involved in human suffering, cares and interests, like other actors.

"Fathers and Children" Turgenev - a novel in which different worldviews are faced. From this point of view, Yevgeny's father is also interesting. We suggest you get to know him better.

Bazarov Vasily Ivanovich

This hero is a representative of the patriarchal world, which is a thing of the past. Turgenev, reminding us of him, makes readers feel the drama of the movement of history. Vasily Ivanovich is a retired staff doctor. By origin he is a raznochinets. His life, this hero builds in the spirit of enlightenment ideals. Vasily Bazarov lives unselfishly and independently. He works, is interested in social and scientific progress. However, between him and the next generation lies an irresistible chasm, which brings a deep drama into his life. Father's love does not find a response, it turns into a source of suffering.

Arina Vlasyaevna Bazarova

Arina Vlasyaevna Bazarova is the mother of Eugene. The author notes that this is "a real Russian noblewoman" of the past time. Her life and consciousness are subject to the norms prescribed by the tradition. Such a human type has its charm, but the era to which it belongs, has already passed. The author shows that such people will not live peacefully. The psychic life of the heroine includes suffering, fear and anxiety because of the relationship with her son.

Arkady N. Kirsanov

Arkady Nikolayevich is a friend of Eugene, his pupil in the novel "Fathers and Sons". The main actors of the work are in many ways contrasting. So, unlike Bazarov, the influence of the era in Arkady's position is combined with the influence of the usual properties of a young age. Quite superficially his enthusiasm for the new teaching. Kirsanov is attracted to the "nihilism" of his opportunities, valuable for a person just entering life - independence from authorities and traditions, a sense of freedom, the right to insolence and self-confidence. However, Arkady has qualities that are far from "nihilistic" principles: he is artlessly simple, good-natured, attached to traditional life.

Nikolai Petrovich Kirsanov

Nikolai Petrovich in Turgenev's novel is the father of Arkady. He is already a middle-aged man, who suffered many misfortunes, but they did not break him. The hero has romantic inclinations and tastes. He is working, trying to transform his economy in the spirit of the times, seeking love and spiritual support. The author with obvious sympathy outlines the character of this hero. He is weak, but sensitive, kind, noble and delicate person. In relation to youth, Nikolai Petrovich is benevolent and loyal.

Pavel Petrovich Kirsanov

Pavel Petrovich is Uncle Arkady, an Englishman, an aristocrat, a moderate liberal. In the novel he is an antagonist of Eugene. The author gave this hero an effective biography: secular successes and a brilliant career were interrupted by tragic love. With Paul Petrovich after this there was a substitution. He renounces hopes for personal happiness, and also does not want to pursue a civil and moral duty. Pavel Petrovich moves to the village, where there are other actors in the work "Fathers and Children." He intends to help his brother in the transformation of the economy. The hero stands for liberal government reforms. Entering a dispute with Bazarov, he defends the program, which is based on a noble and lofty ideas. "Western" ideas of the rights of the individual, honor, self-respect, dignity are combined in it with the "Slavophile" idea of the role of the patriarchal family and the agricultural community. Turgenev believes that the views of Pavel Petrovich are far from reality. This is an unhappy and lonely man with a failed fate and unfulfilled aspirations.

No less interesting are other actors, one of which is Odintsova Anna Sergeevna. About it, of course, is worth telling in detail.

Anna Sergeevna Odintsova

It's an aristocrat, a beauty, in which Bazarov is in love. In it, the features inherent in the new generation of nobles are noticeable, such as freedom of judgment, the absence of class pride, and democratism. Bazarov, however, everything in it is alien, even features that are peculiar to him. Odintsova is independent, proud, intelligent, but completely different from the main character. However, this chaste, proud, cold aristocrat needs Evgeny for who he is. Her calmness attracts and worries him. Bazarov understands that behind him is the inability to hobbies, selfishness, indifference. However, in this he finds a kind of perfection and gives in to his charm. This love becomes tragic for Eugene. Odintsov also copes easily with his feelings. She marries "by conviction," and not for love.

Kate

Katya is the younger sister of Anna Sergeevna Odintsova. At first she seems just a shy and pretty young lady. However, gradually it manifests mental strength and independence. The girl is freed from the power of her sister. She helps Arkady overthrow Bazarov's power over him. Katya in Turgenev's novel embodies the beauty and truth of the ordinary.

Kukshina Eudoxia (Avdotya) Nikitishna

Actors in the novel "Fathers and Sons" include two pseudo-nihilists, whose images are parodic. This is Evdoksya Kukshin and Sitnikov. Kukshina is an emancipated woman, who is marked by extreme radicalism. In particular, she is interested in natural sciences and the "women's issue", despises even George Sand for "backwardness" . This woman is vulgar, unruly, frankly stupid. However, sometimes something human is also seen in it. "Nihilism", perhaps, hides a sense of infringement, the source of which is the female inferiority of this heroine (she is abandoned by her husband, does not attract the attention of men, is not beautiful).

Sitnikov (Fathers and Sons)

How many actors have you already counted? We told about nine heroes. It is necessary to present one more. Sitnikov is a pseudo-nihilist who considers himself a "disciple" of Bazarov. He seeks to demonstrate Eugene's inherent sharpness of judgment and freedom of action. However, this similarity is parodic. "Nihilism" is understood by Sitnikov as a way of overcoming complexes. This hero is ashamed, for example, the father-farmer, who has become rich through the soldering of the people. At the same time, Sitnikova is burdened by his own insignificance.

These are the main actors. "Fathers and children" is a novel in which a whole gallery of bright and interesting images is created. Of course, it is worth reading in the original.
