"Alice in Wonderland": a summary of the book by chapters. Characters "Alice in Wonderland"

In this article we will describe the work "Alice in Wonderland". A brief description of this fairy tale written in 1865 is offered to your attention. You will get acquainted with her story. You will also be presented with the main characters. "Alice in Wonderland" is a fascinating story, which you will surely like. Let's start our story from the very beginning, with the first chapter.

First chapter

The girl Alice, the main character of this book, her journey through the Land of Wonders begins unexpectedly for herself: she is stunned by idleness and heat, she suddenly discovers a rabbit, which is not surprising in itself. But this rabbit not only turned out to be speaking (which Alice was not at all surprised at that moment), he had pocket watches and everything else, he was in a hurry. So begins the work "Alice in Wonderland". The summary of the book, of course, does not describe in detail all the events.

Alice, burning with impatience, rushed to the hole behind him and was suddenly in a vertical tunnel. According to him, swiftly (or not quite, because the girl even managed to notice that she was on the shelves of the walls, and took the jar with the inscription "Orange marmalade", which, unfortunately, was empty) had failed. But in this world everything ends, including the fall of Alisa, and quite happily.

Alice is in the hall

The work "Alice in Wonderland" continues. Its summary is made up by the following events. The girl is in the big hall, Rabbit disappeared, but she found a lot of doors and a small golden key on the table, with which she could open the door leading to the magnificent garden. However, getting there was not possible, because the main character was too great. At the same time, she turned up a bottle on which was written "Drink me."

This is just the beginning of the most interesting events of the work "Alice in Wonderland". The summary of the chapters is curious. The work itself is even more interesting. After reading the author's text of the fairy tale, you will get acquainted with the original manner of Carroll's narration.

Alice, despite her caution, decided to drink from it and began to decline rapidly, even frightened that something could happen to it that happens with the flame of a candle when it is blown. Fortunately, there was a patty nearby, where Alice read "Eat Me". The girl, having done this, grew to such a size that she began to say goodbye to her feet, which remained far below.

The second and third chapters

Everything was very unpredictable and strange. Even the girl's long poems and the multiplication table left her sikos-kokos. Alice did not recognize herself, she even decided that it was not her at all, but the other girl. From endless strangeness and grief, the main character cried, crying the lake, which almost drowned.

The work "Alice in Wonderland", the summary of which is presented by this article, then tells us about how the girl discovered that not one is rambling in this strange lacrimal lake. Next to her snorted Mouse.

Alice, being a polite girl, started a conversation with her, because it would be embarrassing to be silent. Unfortunately, she talked about cats, remembering her favorite pet, left at home. But, offended by the callousness of Alice, the Mouse retired.

The fourth chapter

The rabbit, who appeared again, sent her, like a servant, with gloves and a fan to his home, as he was about to go to the Duchess. Alice did not argue, she went into the house where Rabbit lived, but drank out of curiosity and there was liquid from some vial. Again the girl grew to gigantic proportions, such that she almost lost his house. Fortunately, she was pelted with stones turned into cakes, and the girl became again tiny, then she ran away. A rich fantasy in the author of the fairy tale "Alice in Wonderland"! The summary of the work, meanwhile, describes only the main events.

Alice wandered for a long time in the inhospitable grassy jungle. She almost fell into a young puppy's tooth, then she was near a huge mushroom, on which the Caterpillar was sitting and smoking a hookah.

Fifth Chapter

The girl complained to her that she was constantly changing in size and she would not recognize herself, but the Caterpillar found nothing special in such metamorphoses, treating without sympathy for Alice, confused. Especially when I heard that the girl does not like her current growth of three inches, because the Caterpillar was very satisfied with it! Removed offended Alice, taking a piece of mushroom with her.

He was useful when the main character saw the house. The girl chewed on the mushroom, grew to a size of nine inches and headed for him.

The sixth chapter

The adventures of Alice in Wonderland continue. She saw the footman, who was standing on the threshold, looking like a fish. He handed one more, resembling a toad, an invitation to the party in croquet to the Queen. For a long time she found out from Lacky the Toad if she was allowed to enter, but did not understand anything from the answers of this servant (not without, incidentally, strange logic).

Eventually the girl decided and went inside. So continues "Alice in Wonderland", a book that still does not lose its popularity.

The main character discovered that she was in the kitchen, where she could not breathe from pepper and smoke. The cook cooked here, and not far from the Duchess, who had a screaming baby in her arms. The cook smashed the dishes in both of them. Big Cat watched with a smirk for all this. The Duchess briefly explained to the surprised Alice that the Cat was smiling because he was Cheshire, and said that all cats could smile. Then she began to hum the familiar lullaby like a lumpy baby, but for some reason Alice became creepy. The Duchess finally threw the girl a bundle with the baby. The girl took out the grumbling restless baby from the house and suddenly saw with amazement that it was Piglet, and not a child at all!

The main heroine remembered involuntarily other children, of which, perhaps, would have turned out pretty little guinea pigs.

The adventures of Alice in Wonderland continue. Here before the girl again there was a Cheshire Cat. She asked him about where to go next. Smiling, the Cat explained that if Alice does not care where to go, in any direction you can move. The cat told the girl quietly that in the country where she got, all the abnormal, and disappeared. But not all. Remained his broad smile, which hung for a long time in the air.

Especially useful was this property of Kota to him, when the Chervonaya Koroleva, ferocious and terrible, ordered to cut off the animal's head (the eighth chapter). At once the Cat disappeared. Only one head and could be seen in the air. But how can you order it to be cut off if there is no body?

Meanwhile, Alice went to the March Hare and got on a tea party.

Seventh chapter

The Mad Hatter and the Hare were forced to drink tea continuously in punishment for the fact that these heroes were killing Time. These characters ("Alice in Wonderland") reacted to the main heroine in an inhospitable manner - they laughed and were intimidated. The girl left and fell after another adventure in the royal garden, where the red garden was painted by white gardeners.

Chapters 8 through 12

Here there were spouses, the Chervonye Korolev and the King, surrounded by the courtiers - the hearts of the hearts and diamonds smaller. And although they showed keenness to others, Alice was not scared. She reasoned that these were just maps.

In the hall the girl saw almost all the friends from Wonderland. At this time, Chervon Knight was judged, who stole the cakes baked by the Queen. Suddenly they summoned the main character, who grew up to the usual size. About her sound logic, all attempts to intimidate the girl, undertaken by the spouses, were broken.

Scattered magic. The girl woke up near her sister on the same meadow. It was just a dream.

Thus the fairy tale "Alice in Wonderland" ends. This book was written a century and a half ago, but does not lose its relevance to this day, remaining one of the most famous works for children.
