Alexander Dronov - biography and creativity

Many rock musicians have replaced eminent collectives into their own bands. Alexander Dronov could have made a career with the legendary "Cruise", but preferred to write his own songs, which he succeeded in. Until now, his group "Valkyrie" is heard by fans of Russian rock music.

In 1961 in Moscow the famous musician Dronov Alexander was born. From an early age, he gravitated towards music. For an amazing ear and talent, he was taken to a music school as early as 5 years. He graduated with honors in 12 years. Specialty of Alexander became a pianoforte. After the end of the 8th grade, he enters the Moscow Regional School in the class "Music Theory". Parallel to his skills, the musician improves with the help of private lessons. His teacher is the famous singer Anton Ginzburg.

At that time, Alexander's family moved to Zelenograd, where he was drafted into the army. Like all young men with music education, he was called to the Divisional Orchestra, based in the Urals Military District. In the same place, Alexander Dronov participated in his first live ensemble. After the end of the service, Alexander goes to work at the Zelenograd gymnasium, where he teaches music.

First musical projects

Teaching schoolchildren did not really like the musician, so in 2 years he begins to look for a work closer to him in spirit. First he goes to the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya and simultaneously starts playing with her brother in Zelenograd group "Labyrinth".

In 1986, for several months, he became a keyboard player for the group "Cruise", and then moved on as a session musician in the project "Stalker". In 1990, he was invited to co-operate with Andrei Rublev, where he worked for a while, while working on a solo project. Working in professional groups allowed Alexander to get acquainted with eminent musicians and to assemble his band.

"Valkyrie"

In 1989, the Dronovs began to work on the Valkyrie project (a group whose popularity peaked at the beginning of the two centuries). Initially, the band had no name, the musicians just got together and worked on creating the first album. He came out quickly enough - in 1990. Alexander Dronov (keyboards, author of music) - the only participant who did not leave the group so far and participated in the creation of all albums. Besides him, Maxim Udalov (drummer, known for his participation in the "Aria" and "Black Coffee" bands), Vladimir Dronov (bass) and Olga Lebedeva (vocals) participated in the band in different years.

It was thanks to Olga that the group got its name. Female vocals combined with heavy metal music and symphony orchestra parties inspired the right name for the band.

The next record was prepared by the Russian metal band for 4 years. During this time several times the composition of the team. In 1995, Alexander and did declare the dissolution of the group and settled in the team "Zemlyane", from which he subsequently moved to "Mango-Mango." In 2000, metal again became fashionable, and the musician decided to make a second attempt. "Valkyrie" revived in the new lineup, and there were 2 more albums, as well as 3 tracks to the reissued record.

What Alexander is doing now

Since the Russian metal band of the musician often experienced not the best years, Dronov took part in other projects. For example, he wrote music for two films by Pavel Sanayev - "The Last Weekend" and "Kaunas Blues". Alexander Dronov recorded music himself, in collaboration with guitarist Andrei Bochagov.

In 2007, the musician for the first time collaborates with Cash and Nuki from the Slot group. With their participation "Valkyrie" is recording a new album "Fill up the ranks". The musicians were pleased with the cooperation and repeated their experience in 9 years - in 2016 the Slot group helped the Dronov brothers write a new single, "Entheosophy", which was decided to be distributed via the Internet. Fans were attracted not so much by the unusual name of the track, as by the caricature cover.

After the first cooperation with the Slot group, the Valkyrie group spent two years in oblivion. In 2009, they visited the "Invasion" for the first time. The band again found female vocals and a style that was familiar to fans. They repeated their triumph in 2010 and 2011, and since that time, apart from the single, no new material has been released. Fans say that very soon the Valkyrie will please them with a new album, but the timing of its release is not yet clearly marked.
