Alexander Blok: love lyrics. "Poems about a beautiful lady"

The mature years of the Bloc passed in the extremely aggravated socio-historical contradictions that arose at the beginning of the 20th century. On this basis, a brilliant lyric confession was called "Blok's Love Lyrics," whose poems astonished the hearts of readers with an almost musical enchanting rhyme, beauty and tenderness of expressions and feelings, and allowed real pleasure, appreciation and understanding of true art.

V. Zhukovsky

Before starting the topic "Block: Love Lyrics", it should be noted that Blok as a poet was formed under the influence of classical Russian literature. The closest to him at the very beginning of his career was the romanticism of VA Zhukovsky. This singer of nature, as VG Belinsky liked to call him, taught the young Blok to feel the beauty of the surrounding world subtly, to delve into the plans and secrets of his Creator.

Acquaintance with the work of Zhukovsky in 1901 for Blok did not go in vain, because it was through him that the future poet joined the work of the philosopher-mystic Vladimir Solovyov, who became the "spiritual father" of a new wave of Russian symbolists. The ideological core of his teachings was the dream of the kingdom of theocracy. The world, mired in vices and sins, can be saved by the Universal Soul, which is a kind of synthesis of good, beauty and love, or more precisely, the spiritual beginning of all life. All this was well perceived by Blok. Love lyrics began to bring him pleasure and consolation.

Lyubov Mendeleeva

Before the wedding, Alexander Blok, as usual, travels to Europe together with his mother. He is in anticipation of the fact that soon he will lead his beloved woman, called Lubov Mendeleeva (the daughter of the brilliant chemist D. Mendeleev), under the crown of the Church. He sought her love for several long years. Until recently, he thought that there was a fat point in their relationship, but soon their fateful meeting in a cozy Moscow cafe predetermined their fate.

Until now, it is a mystery how pragmatic Love agreed to this marriage. Engagement took place in May 1903, after her Block went on a trip. In Germany, he can not recover from happiness, he still does not believe in him. He is afraid that the engagement upon his return to Russia will be dissolved, but in every possible way drives gloomy thoughts from his head.

Poems about her

At one of those moments he will write a poem "If only she approaches ...", which she will devote to her, Lubov Mendeleeva. He is just raving about this woman. At this moment it seems to him that being several hundred kilometers from the resort German city in which he rests, she suddenly appears, and the figure flashes in the crowd, from this his heart can jump out of his chest. He repeats as a spell of the word: "I'll wait, I'll wait." He understands that only in a fairy tale it is possible to wait for miracles, but he does not cease to believe that now, at this moment, they will meet. And then he wondered what she had so captivated him. And he himself gives an answer, associating himself with a swan, whom someone "called". He is pleased with this captivity, which causes such strong imagination, but immediately writes that he is already alone in the crowd like everyone else and not allowed to look into his soul.

Alexander Blok: poems about love

Blok's early love poetry compiled the first book of 1904, "Poems on the Beautiful Lady." In these works the sense of genuine love for his bride is taken as a basis, the dreams of which literally lived Alexander Blok. Poems about love in this collection contain a mystical worship of the Eternal Womanhood and the Lady of the Universe. Before us appears the image of a beloved with signs of a real deity - Heavenly Virgin and Radiant Queen, devoid of any earthly features.

But in the image of the lyrical hero, more a slave, a boy, a knight who is ready to devote his life to a lady of the heart. His lover is before him in the dusk of fog and in shaky shadows. This impression of the illusory image is enhanced by the lack of epithets of specific descriptions, it gives a more vivid emotional perception of colors: a bottomless look, fragrant tears, azure dreams, etc.

This is the whole block. His love lyrics often include archaic ecclesiastical vocabulary: rhizas, lamps, chandeliers, etc. Such are his ideas about a beloved woman, as a certain deity. He dreams of meeting with her and looks forward to her when she calls him. Block associates this with the second coming, when the world is transformed and refreshed.

"I waited all my life. Tired of waiting…"

The family life of the poet was not easy. The bloc really worshiped his chosen one, but he was firmly convinced that in marriage the main spiritual closeness, and not the physical one. As a result, his wife got a lot of lovers. Lubov Mendeleeva was a theatrical actress and therefore she easily made novels. Blok perceived her hobbies with submission and humility. After one of these novels, his wife will have a son, and Blok from his nobility recognizes him as his.

It was after his birth that he would write a poem "I've waited all my life ..." and will devote it to my wife. He is fascinated by the image of a woman mother who tilted her head above the headboard of her baby's crib, waiting for him to fall asleep. Blok likes his wife at this moment and suppresses anger, jealousy and aggression. Everything is ready to endure from his wife Blok. Love lyrics are filled with painful longing and passion. The soul of the poet experiences conflicting feelings, she whines thin and pitifully and constantly reminds of another's child.

Love and death

Block was ready to tolerate everything, if only they had a good relationship with his wife. But he understood that between them lay the bottomless abyss, and in the end they parted. He had women, whom he changed like gloves. Block spoke about them: "Poison - after another poison."

Never, as before, Blok will not be happy, the love lyrics of which, however, will begin to sound even stronger. He will fully immerse himself in it, and will devote his unspent feelings to strangers who, as he himself hoped, would probably remember him after his death. That's how he summed up his relationship in his family life, although by the end of his life Alexander and Love will fix them, but it will be too late, the sick Blok will soon die.
