Adult and Child Health Groups: Classification

To date, there are 3 main groups of health of the adult population. Each of them differs not only in the condition of the patient, but also in the periodicity of his dispensary observation.

Adult health groups: classification

The need to create a full-scale separation of patients into different categories arose almost immediately after the emergence of clinical examination. The fact is that it assumes a different number of studies depending on what kind of diseases a person has.

Currently, there are 3 main groups of adult health. Each of them is characterized by certain criteria, indicating the presence or absence of certain diseases.

The first group of health

This includes fully healthy people who do not suffer from any chronic non-infectious diseases, and also do not have a large number of risk factors for their development.

This group of people's health has the most favorable outlook for later life. The fact is that it is chronic non-infectious diseases that most often cause the development of severe conditions.

As a result of a significant increase in diagnostic capabilities, there are not so many representatives of the first group of adult health today. This is due to the fact that with age, a person accumulates a sufficiently large number of risk factors for the occurrence of certain chronic diseases.

Second group of health

What is characteristic of the second group of adult health? To her, as well as to the first, are people who have no chronic non-infectious diseases. At the same time, they have a sufficiently high risk of acquiring them in the very near future. In addition, they have several factors at once for the development of cardiovascular ailments.

In the process of accumulation of risk factors, gradual minor morphological changes can occur. Ultimately, they lead to the acquisition of a particular chronic disease, which can no longer be completely cured even with the most modern medicines. As a result, the patient passes from the second group of adult health to the third. This category is the most extensive.

Third group of health

This includes people with a high risk of developing cardiovascular diseases, as well as the presence of chronic non-infectious pathology. This category of population is the most extensive in the age after 40 years. The fact is that with age, sooner or later, any person starts aging processes. This leads to morphological changes. As a result, very soon, too, various organs begin to suffer. All this leads to a gradual decompensation of the activity of various body systems. At present, this group of health is quite common. On dispensary observation of patients entering into it, you have to spend the greatest amount of money.

Groups of health in adults: medical examination

The presence or absence of chronic diseases determines how often the patient should visit certain specialists. In many ways, this is why the division into adult health groups was introduced. Classification helps doctors correctly conduct dispensary registration. For each category of citizens there are different levels and frequency of medical examinations.

About the first and second groups

Patients from the first group of adult health can visit doctors only once a year and take only standard tests. In the event that as a result of such a commission they do not have any chronic non-infectious diseases or additional factors to their education, they remain in the same category.

As for the second group of adult health, those who belong to it can also be examined only once a year, but they need a more serious examination. Its volume will depend on what kind of risk factors the patient already has. The fact is that the primary detection of chronic non-infectious diseases is inherent for this group of health in adults. The characteristic of this category of patients does not presuppose the presence of diseases, so that after revealing the ailment a person automatically passes into the next group of health.

The presence of a chronic disease is a sufficient reason to visit a doctor not 1, but at least 2 times a year. In this case, it is necessary to take appropriate tests. Thanks to them, the doctor will see how actively the chronic pathological process is taking place, and also whether it is currently affecting the functioning of a particular organ. Ultimately, the doctor will understand whether it is necessary to carry out any serious medical measures or just enough routine prevention.

About the third group

Patients from the third group of adult health can be examined more often than twice a year. The frequency of observations depends on the severity of the chronic pathological process. At the same time for patients with certain diseases according to clinical monitoring it is recommended to undergo a course of inpatient treatment 1-2 times a year.

About children

Groups of health of adults and children vary greatly. The fact is that the kids are divided not into 3, but into 5 categories. This is due to the great attention to the children's population. So the adult health groups and their characteristics are not applicable to under-aged patients.

The first group is characterized by the absence of any kind of disease or deviation in the child. Such a baby can sometimes get sick with an acute form of some pathology, however, at the time of the examination, it is absent. In addition, such a child should have a fairly high level of resistance to the body.

The second group of children's health includes children who do not have any chronic diseases, but with minor deviations. An example is the complications during labor in the mother. At the same time, the deviations have absolutely no effect on the functional abilities of the child.

Children from the third group of health have this or that chronic disease. In this case, for this category of small patients is characterized by its full compensation. That is, despite the presence of ailment, the child does not experience special problems with normal loads.

If we talk about the fourth group of children's health, then it includes those kids who have enough serious chronic ailments that are in the stage of subcompensation. That is, the child has the opportunity to maintain full functional activity, but at the same time his organs and systems are forced to work, constantly straining, which ultimately leads to morphological changes and further deterioration of activities. As a result, such a child has to be transferred to the next group of health.

To the fifth group in children it is customary to refer those children who are owners of a serious chronic pathology. And for the transfer to this category, decompensation of the activity of this or that body should also be observed. Such a child clearly needs serious medical care.

The greatest attention in terms of medical examination to doctors must be given, naturally, to children from the 3rd, 4th and 5th groups.
