Accountant's Day

About the bookkeepers, the first mentions were recorded back in the days of the Incas. The accountants of that time were called "kipukamayoki". It should be noted that they were the first to guess the use of double bookkeeping. The term "accountant" appeared long ago (about 600 years ago).

Already in the 15th century, namely in 1498, it was possible to establish an accountant's day, since it was then that this post was introduced by Maximilian I. But, as then, today there is no definite date to which this day is timed, in spite of the fact that This profession has always been and still is in high demand not only in our country, but also in the whole world.

And this is not surprising, because even the smallest and smallest enterprise or even ordinary private entrepreneur at present can not do without the services of a man of this specialty. After all, to carry out any kind of entrepreneurial activity, it is necessary to maintain accounting records.

The day of the accountant is exactly the time when it is necessary to pay tribute to all workers of this sphere. For many, this work may seem routine and boring somewhere. But, of course, few will dare to call it simple and easy. After all, it is a huge work and a great responsibility in combination with a non-standardized working day.

It's not for nothing that there is a saying that says that once a year the accountant is an angel, once a month - an eagle, and all the rest of the time - a dray horse. This speaks for the hardest work, requiring an acute mind, boundless patience, tremendous responsibility and exceptional care.

Unfortunately, the day of the accountant does not have a certain date for the celebration, set at the legislative level, but, nevertheless, it is customary to celebrate it on November 21. The choice of this date is not random. In 1996, it was on this day that Boris Yeltsin, the then president of Russia, signed the relevant Law "On Accounting".

And it is no coincidence that the same day is called the Labor Day of the tax authorities. And this only once again serves as evidence that these specialties are connected very tightly. And anyway, their work is interdependent and interdependent.

But the World Day of the accountant has a very specific date. They celebrate it annually, in the autumn, on November 10.

Since every country has its own national holiday, the need to introduce an international day itself has been repeatedly discussed. His choice was very reasonable. And the event that occurred in the late 15th century (1494) affected him, namely on November 10, when the book of Luke Pacioli was published in Venice. The name she wore "Everything about arithmetic, geometry and proportion." And here the author tried to summarize the knowledge about mathematics that were known at that time.

In one of the chapters of this book, entitled "On Accounts and Other Records," the accounts of Venice were described in detail. She was the first printing work on the method of double-entry bookkeeping, which served as the basis for the creation of some fairly widely known works on modern commercial accounting.

The day of the chief accountant coincides with the date of the celebration of the national day of specialists of this profession. But it should be noted that every country has its own specific date for it. So, in Belarus, the date has not yet been determined, since the Law, approving the provisions of accounting and corresponding reporting, has not yet been adopted.

But in Ukraine, the day of the accountant is scheduled for July 16. Moreover, here it is officially approved. And all the discrepancies are excluded. And this is very correct, since the success of not only the enterprise (individually taken) but also the economy of the country as a whole depends on the careful and precise work of these specialists.
