Carnival scenario at school

Acquaintance with folk traditions is an important part of educational work both in the family and at school. It is impossible to educate a person without reliance on the centuries-old culture of the people, without establishing connections with our national roots. In most families, the traditions of "old times" are carefully preserved. Winter Christmas holidays with a Christmas tree, Easter with decorated Easter cakes and colorful eggs, Trinity with traditional decoration of houses with green branches and grass, well, and, of course, Maslenitsa. All these holidays connected with the Orthodox faith and culture, somehow find their place in the school.

Maslenitsa refers to the most beloved events in the annual calendar. Bright external attributes: treats with pancakes, dances around the stuffed Winter and its burning, the spring's call - all so and ask for a theatrical performance. But the Shrovetide scenario in the school should include not only these bright aspects of the holiday, but also inner, spiritual preparation. This part of the work is not so catchy and entertaining for children, but it is she who forms the knowledge of the culture of her country, educates her self as part of a great nation with an ancient history.

The scenario of the celebration of the carnival must begin with talks about where the tradition came from, in this way, to celebrate this holiday. You can introduce children to the deities worshiped by pagan Russia. Talk about the tradition of idolatry, offering sacrifices to the gods, which has reached our times in the form of incineration. It will be interesting for children to learn that the pancake is a symbol of the spring sun, which gives a new life to nature and is therefore so revered among the people.

The scenario of carnival in the school must necessarily provide for a mix of pagan and Christian Orthodox traditions. Carnival is the last week before the most important, Great Lent, which is called Cheese. At this time, it is already impossible to eat meat, but dairy products form the basis of the menu: cheese, cottage cheese, milk, butter and sour cream are abundantly presented on the table. Talk about the meaning of Lent, about the last day of the carnival - Forgiveness Sunday also must enter into the scenario of the carnival. All this theoretical part of the holiday can be organized very interestingly. Of course, we must avoid monotonous conversations and stories. There may also be meetings with representatives of the clergy, visiting local lore museums, watching movies and presentations. Interesting will be an appeal to the great Russian culture, which reflected the traditions of the celebration of Shrovetide. The works of Leo Tolstoy, Alexander Pushkin, Alexander Ostrovsky, BM Kustodiev, NA Rimsky-Korsakov. Fragments from literary and musical works, theatrical performances, paintings of Russian artists will decorate the scenario of carnival in the school, fill it with artistic content.

The theatrical part of the holiday should also be carefully prepared. The work with children includes learning Maslenich songs and poems, preparing for mass games and dances, co-production of colorful costumes, posters, stuffed Winter, rehearsal of small dramatizations with the participation of the main characters - Winter, Spring, Sun (Yaril). Carrying out a carnival holiday can be an event that unites the school and family. For children (especially young children) it is very important that their mother and father participate in school life. This gives rise to pride for their parents, and therefore, for self-affirmation in the children's team. Parents, grandparents can not only attend the final stage of the holiday, but also actively assist in the process of its preparation. This, too, must be taken into account when a Shrovetide scenario is created. At school among the most desirable parents should be parents. Moms bake pancakes and participate in the meal, together with the children, they dance around the scarecrow.

The festival of carnival (or the farewell to winter) should symbolize the beginning of a new stage in the life of nature and family, to become a bright and memorable event for children.
