A noble profession is a pilot. Three main areas

In Russia, one of the most prestigious is the profession of a pilot. Photos of pilots in uniforms cause languid sighs in women and genuine jealousy in men. That's why many young people so passionately dream to conquer this profession. However, it is rather difficult to do this, especially if you do not know where to start.

Pilot's profession: description

A pilot is a specialist who can control a certain aircraft: an airplane, a helicopter, an airliner, and so on. It is noteworthy that before pilots were called only aviators of civil aviation, and pilots - military. Today this line is washed away, but the division into civilian and military is still in force.

In addition, there is a certain hierarchy on the plane itself. The captain of the vessel is the first pilot, his deputy is the co-pilot, and on large airliners their company is supplemented by the navigator. Thus, the young specialist does not immediately fall into the commander's chair, but only after the expiration of the trial period, which depends on the type of vessel and the speed of training of the person.

Main question

But how to master the profession of the pilot? After all, to manage the aircraft you need skills and knowledge, which by themselves will not appear. Well, to answer this question can be quite simple - the first thing you should do in the flight school. However, it should be selected based on what kind of pilot you want to become: civil, military or test.

Civil Aviation

The profession of a civil aviation pilot is rightly considered to be one of the highest paid in the country. The monthly salary for these specialists starts at 70 thousand rubles and ends with a threshold of 350-450 thousand. Agree, a very attractive salary, especially for those who love the sky. However, before arranging for an airline, a person will have to go through a difficult path of training.

It starts with a flying school or an air club. The second option is suitable only for those who plan to operate a small aircraft. The rest should choose one of the following universities:

  • Moscow Aviation Institute;
  • St. Petersburg University of Civil Aviation;
  • The Higher Aviation School of Civil Aviation in Ulyanovsk.

Any of these institutions allows you to learn flying skills. For admission, you must pass several exams (mathematics, physics, Russian), and also have an excellent physical form. After the end of the educational institution, the named profession will be available to the person. The civil aviation pilot will now be able to obtain the license of a commercial pilot and get a job in an airline.

At the service of the Air Force of the Russian Federation

Military aviation is a place where only people who are strong with body and spirit go. However, in the end, only a few of them become real pilots. This is due to the great complexity of training: the pilot needs not only to master the management of the aircraft, but also to understand how to operate in combat conditions.

In addition, you should be ready, that this is a rather multifaceted profession. The pilot can be the captain of a fighter, a bomber, a military transport aircraft, a combat helicopter or even an reconnaissance vessel. Therefore, it is necessary to choose a certain direction in advance, in order to comprehend it in perfection.

As for the training itself, it takes place in two ways:

  • Firstly, the draftee may express a desire to serve in the Air Force when passing a commission of the military commissariat. If the physical and mental data of the draftee is in order, then they can send it to the appropriate part. True, this is not the most reliable method, since it does not guarantee 100% of the target troops.
  • Secondly, every citizen of Russia can enter a military flying school. In our country there are several such institutions. However, the most prestigious is the Air Force Academy. N. Ye. Zhukovsky and A. A. Gagarin.

And yet it should be remembered that a military pilot is an extremely difficult profession. The pilot should be ready to ensure that, if necessary, he will have to open fire on other aircraft in which live people will be. Not to mention the fact that at any time his life may be in the balance of death. And it is the awareness of this fact that often leads to the fact that people give up their military pilot's career halfway.

A dangerous profession for the test pilot

The test pilot is a rather rare profession. Only those who have shown themselves as real experts in their field, as excellent ace in the sky, are among those elected. Most often, test pilots are former military pilots who have served more than five years for the benefit of their homeland. But there are exceptions.

The main task of these masters is to test new types of aircraft, helicopters, control systems, guidance and so on. In this case, the pilot should not only determine how well the new machine works, but also be able to notice the defects and possible drawbacks of the designers.

The problem is that sometimes new aircraft can crash during the flight. This leads to dangerous situations. And if the pilot can not quickly find a way out of them, he risks paying for it with life.

Pros and cons of working in the sky

Of the merits should be noted the prestige of the work, which is supported by good wages. In addition, many pilots receive an indescribable pleasure from controlling the aircraft. No less attractive is the fact that a person has a unique opportunity to see the whole world, working for large airlines.

But there are also disadvantages. Pilots always risk their lives, going on a flight. Someone more, some less, but everyone has a chance to fall. In addition, do not forget about the large health burden that arise due to all sorts of stresses.
