A fairy tale "How a Guzy Man Mangled" in a Leo Tolstoy Retelling

Fairy tales accompany us throughout our life, accompanying a person from the smallest age and to a very old age. Fairy tales of the Russian people - a fount of wisdom that teaches the children of life, helps to comprehend the moral laws of the surrounding world, introduces to the eternal concepts of good and evil. Here's how you think if you can divide the goose into several parts, without offending any of those present? Maybe yes. At least one of these options is offered in the Russian fairy tale "How the Guiser Man divided". Let's try and read together.

A fairy tale "How a Guise a Guy Split"

Despite the fact that this work is considered folklore, many first heard the text in the exposition of Leo Tolstoy. The plot itself does not appear in such a fundamental work as the collection of folk tales of Alexander Afanasyev. However, evidence and references to this work of oral folk art exist almost from the 18th century. Even then, the Russian peasants from mouth to mouth passed the tale "How the peasant divided the geese." Tolstoy only processed it, giving it laconism and presenting it with an understandable, modern language for children's reading. Now, in this form, we can read it.

The brief content of the fairy tale "How the Guiser Man divided"

One poor peasant has no bread at all, and the family is big, and it must be fed somehow. The peasant decided to ask the master. But in order not to go empty-handed, he caught a goose, fried it and carried it to the master. He brought it and gave it away.

Barin took a gander, but said that, they say, he does not know how to divide it among all the other members of the family, because he has two more daughters, two sons and a wife. And how to divide the fried bird without resentment?

Then the sharp-witted peasant said, they say, that he would divide himself. He gave the head of the goose to the master, saying: "You are all head." Guzku - the wife of the master, saying that she was supposed to be engaged in housekeeping and stay at home, so the goose was puzzled. Sons gave his legs to trample my father's path. The daughters of the master are the porch, since they will all the same fly away from the house (meaning they will marry). So, dividing the remains (and this turned out to be the biggest and tasty part of the goose carcass) the peasant left for himself. To this "division" the master laughed and gave to the poor man for his savvy bread and money. But on this fairy tale "As a Guise the Guy Split" does not end yet.

Continuation of a story

It seems that the story is exhausted, but, as it often happens in fairy tales, the narrative comes to a new turn. And the story of how the peasant geese shared, continues. A wealthy peasant learned that the master gave the poor peasant money and bread, and decided to take advantage of favor as well. He roasted 5 geese and carries them to the master. He offers a rich peasant to share what was brought between members of the family. But a rich man can not think of anything. Then the master again invites the poor man to do it. And the poor man again "divides" in his favor: one goose - a lady with a gentleman, one - sons, one - daughters, two took himself. Thus, it turned out all three of them with geese. The master again marvels at the ingenuity of the poor man and gives him bread, money, and drives a rich stupid peasant.

Morality

"As a peasant geese divided" - a fairy tale household. It does not involve participation in the narrative of either magic or miraculous adventures and heroes. The main character - just an ordinary savvy poor, who is one of the favorite heroes of fairy tales of the Russian people.
