Oral folk art as an effective instrument of raising children

Oral folk art is one of the most effective tools in the education of preschool and older children. Almost from birth, a child hears from nursery rhymes, lullabies, fairy tales, etc. In kindergarten and school, these and other genres are often used for development and upbringing. Riddles, fairy tales, sayings enrich emotions, develop imagination, and also are an excellent example of the Russian language. Rich in content and form, these folk works allow children to show examples of some moral values.

Oral folk art in kindergarten is increasingly used. There are special programs to work in this direction, some caregivers prefer to choose their own methods. But, in any case, this is one of the most common means of education.

So, children listen to nursery rhymes, learn how to repeat them, play them, use them in their games. Among other things, it contributes to the development of speech, arbitrary memory. Riddles can be taught to children not only to guess, but to invent themselves. Proverbs and sayings play a huge role in the formation of values in children. They are emotionally very rich, and, accordingly, the child, in order to comprehend the meaning of what has been said, must make certain efforts that affect not only the mind, but also the senses, which is very important for moral and aesthetic development.

It is impossible not to say that oral folk art for children is, first of all, fairy tales. In addition, they are in most cases most interesting for preschool-age children. Also this genre is the most accessible, since the simplicity and immediacy of the presentation are very close to the psychology of the child. On the example of many characters it is possible to explain such concepts as "good", "evil", "greed", "courage" etc. The fairy tale introduces children into imaginary circumstances, forcing them to experience with a hero a wide range of feelings. Becoming on the side of a positive character, the preschooler solves all the tasks posed with him. This increases the creative activity and allows you to draw conclusions that are inaccessible in other circumstances.

At the same time, educators, teachers and parents should competently and responsibly approach the selection of works, respectively, with the age characteristics and goals that need to be achieved. So, "Kolobok" is more suitable for preschool kids, older children will quickly lose interest in the "primitive" story. At school age, you can already offer the epic, which in most cases are similar to fairy tales.

Oral folk art enriches the child's vocabulary, especially work with nursery rhymes. These are short, melodic rhymes, which can often be accompanied by certain actions. They help in the education of kindness, friendliness, empathy. Gradually, children transfer them to their games.

So, at home or in the kindergarten, you can make a corner, in which there are baby books, clamshell books, didactic games based on folklore works, illustrations. After three years (and sometimes earlier), the kids will be happy to look at the pictures, retell the familiar nursery rhymes, fairy tales, and be interested in new ones.

The child's childhood largely depends on the environment. If, at the same time, parents and teachers surround the child with care and affection, while enriching their work with him, using oral folk art, there is a high probability that he will already at the early age be laid down the basic moral qualities that will only later develop. Folklore not only helps in education and development, but also simply diversifies everyday life and holidays.
