When the YUMZ tractor was put into production, a "tractor" classification of the plant's production began. The reasons for this were the following:

• Rocket and space production began to cover up;

• Related and auxiliary production began to be loaded;

• The burden on the expenditure part of the budget was reduced;

• Increased supplies to the domestic market of wheeled tractors.

Dnepropetrovsk plant independently produced its first tractor YUMZ-6 in 1971. At this time at the plant, this production covered the work for the rocket and space complex and the export of tractors took place under the brand "Belarus". Although there were external differences with the Minsk tractors.

Justice was restored only by the end of the 1970s. Then they started to be called the YUMZ tractor, but several models continued to be produced under the brand name Belarus.
In these years, Yuzhmash's tractors were considered the best. The first quality mark was given to this particular machine, it was called the "Machine of the Year".

In 1990 there was a complete modernization - and the sixth series appeared, the main feature of which was the adaptation to construction. A rear-wheel drive chassis was produced for this tractor, the SESH-6002 brand. Also, a tractor went into the series 10244 YuMZ. It was upgraded to work in the communal economy and is equipped with transportation and handling equipment.
Today the plant continues to improve its products.
Mini-tractor UMZ, the recent development of the plant, is intended for agricultural work. It uses many types of mounted and trailed equipment. The design is somewhat archaic, but this does not reduce all its merits. The tractor is quite reliable and is also easy to operate and inexpensive for this type of equipment.

Currently, only two models are produced by the models: YUMZ-6AKL tractor and 6AKI model. Their difference is only in starting the engine - and a compressor is also provided for the transport model.

In the mid-90's, the front suspension of this car was reinforced. As a result, he received a tractor chassis SESH-6002.
This model has high durability and reliability in operation. A diesel engine with a capacity of 60 horsepower is installed. This mini-tractor is widely used in agriculture. It is quite cheap to maintain and does not have a high purchase price. In the Russian market there is a large number of spare parts for the car - and this is a big plus for foreign counterparts.

Today, the tractor plant in Omsk represents four modifications of this tractor on the domestic market: UMZ-6AK, UMZ-6K, UMZ-6A, UMZ-6.
They took from their predecessors the best qualities. Increased productivity and power, the machine is still reliable and durable. It is distinguished by the ease of maintenance. All of this plus the cheap repair of the YUMZ tractor - all this attracts the buyer.

The requirements to the aesthetics of the tractor are increased, the latest electrical appliances are mounted, the consumer can order the installation of an air conditioner.

At the request of the customer, the rear hitch can be equipped with automatic gripping. It is possible to install a pendulum trailing device or a coupling hook.
