In Moscow, the next stage of the contest of young journalists "Word and Delo", aimed at combating extremism and the formation of tolerance in the youth environment. The contest is held by the educational and methodological center "Prosveshchenie" with the support of the Department of Family and Youth Policy in Moscow.

November 4, 2011 in Moscow and other cities of Russia was the annual Russian march. The capital procession gathered around twenty-five thousand people under the nationalist banner, the bulk of which were young people. Give an objective assessment of the past event - the task is extremely difficult. However, the fact remains that more and more representatives of modern youth are becoming involved in extremist activity.

Unjustified aggression, disregard for morality, morality, the risk of committing serious crimes - this is the result of youth's commitment to extremism.

The Educational and Methodological Center "Prosveshchenie" found a creative way of attracting young people's attention to the problem of extremism, announcing the holding of the contest with "Word and deed". The purpose of the competition is to identify and encourage journalistic talents that reveal the problems of combating extremism.

The contest "Word and deed" consists of creative and educational parts. Thanks to participation in trainings, young people raise the level of tolerance, receive maximum information about the confrontation with extremism. The creative stage of the contest is held in three categories: "The best publication on the topic of combating extremism", "The best video on the topic of combating extremism", "The best photo-report on the fight against extremism".

To participate in the contest, "Word and Deed" attracted high school students from Moscow schools, students of journalism, advertising and public relations departments, young working journalists.

Assess the work of the contestants will be a jury, which will include experts in the field of advertising and public relations, the psychology of youth, practicing journalists, experts in the field of the media.

Thanks to the contest "In word and deed" young journalists have an opportunity to exchange their professional experience, show their talent for writing, get acquainted with the main principles of confrontation with extremist activity: the inevitability of punishment for the crime, lawfulness, publicity, protection of human rights and freedoms.
