Operating principle

The unit is powered by electricity, can have both automatic and mechanical control. Since the diameter of the spindle has a significant run-up in size, the device is capable of processing pipes of various diameters, including water and oil and gas pipelines.

Some machines of this category are equipped with a numerical control system (numerical control), which allows you to perform most of the lathe manipulation in automatic mode. The tool kit may include an additional system of combs for threading, as well as heads and mobile stands. Such a wide range of devices allows several operations to be carried out with a minimal cost of working life and time.

These pipe-cutting machines are designed for cutting inch, conical, triangular and other types of thread. The main frames are protected by incandescence and grinding. This, in combination with the reliability of the main units, guarantees a long service life without loss of the accuracy parameter. Cutting the defective pipe edge, as well as cutting the desired thread format, is performed automatically.

Below are the characteristics of the CNC system of STC4100 and 1835. The parameters of the second model are indicated in parentheses:

These pipe-cutting machines are oriented to turning the pipes and their joints. The diameter of the product should not exceed 210 mm. The final product is mainly used in the oil and gas sector. The length of the structure to be processed is at a maximum of six meters. The devices are equipped with a ruler of a cone type and a pair of lunettes with pins.

Below are the technical parameters of this series:

  • The height of the centers is 41.7 cm.
  • The diameters of the treatment above the bed, slide and groove are 83/51/100 cm.
  • The width of the skeleton is 56 cm.
  • The diameter of the spindle is 21 cm.
  • The maximum speed is 400 rotations per minute.

The devices of this modification are designed for processing the edges of pipes and identical connections. Below are the characteristics of this device:

  • Similar indicators above the bed and the support are 800/450 mm.
  • The maximum cross-section of the incisors is 32 * 32 mm.
  • The number of device positions is 4 values.
  • The length of the workpiece according to the turning, taking into account the conical ruler, is no more than 420 mm.
  • The longitudinal / transverse movement of the support is 500/800 mm.
  • The spindle rotation speed is up to 355 rpm.

  • The angle of rotation of the conical ruler is up to 10 degrees.

  • Length / width / height - 3,6 / 1,9 / 1,5 m.
  • The maximum weight is 9.2 tons.

Modification 1Н983

Pipe cutting machines, the characteristics of which are given below, are used for grinding the ends of pipes and cutting threads in a single production. Hardware parameters:

  • The diameter of the treated structure is from 73 to 299 mm.
  • The maximum length of the value is up to 800 mm.
  • The deflection is 355 rotations per minute with 12 spindle speeds.
  • The maximum weight of the device is 9100 kg.

The remaining characteristics of the equipment are almost identical to the above-mentioned machine type 1A983.

STC-1535 and STC-1450 devices

Below are the parameters of the STC-1535 pipe cutting machine (in parentheses - values for the STC-1450 model):

  • The CNC system is Fanuc Oi-TC / Fanuc Oi-TC.
  • The height from the center of the spindle to the guide elements is 315 (420) mm.
  • The outer diameter of the workpieces processed is 156 (140) mm.
  • The length of the pipe to the maximum is 203 (500) mm.
  • The power rating of the main motor is 15 (54) kW.
  • The spindle rotation speed is 660 (906) rpm.
  • Type of cartridge - tilted (standard).
  • Revolver head - vertical with four ranges (analog with 8 positions).
  • The standard of precision of product processing is IT7 (IT6).
  • The weight of the device is 6 (15) tons.
  • Length / width / height - 3,24 / 1,66 / 1.7 (5,1 / 2,36 / 2,1) meters.

REMS Tornado 2010

These special machines have a fixed frame and a rotating mechanism for the workpiece. The robust design of the tool is optimally suited for operation on various construction sites. Compactness and light weight (50 kg) ensure good transportability and simplify maintenance of the device. The complete set includes a large chip tray, and an adjustable height stand.

The manufacturer provided for two modifications of the industrial equipment in question:

  1. Mobile variation is equipped with three legs, has a large oil bath and a tank for waste material.
  2. Model with built-in oil and chip tray. It is oriented for operation on a workbench.

Powerful and high-speed drive of the unit under consideration allows to cut the thread by 2 inches in 15 seconds.

Device

Pipe Threading Machines REMS are equipped with several types of motors. Among them:

  1. The universal motor capacity of 1,7 kw. It is protected against overloads, has a speed of rotation of the spindle 53 rotation per minute.
  2. Power unit of condenser type. It is equipped with a polarity regulator, has a power of 2.1 kW, a couple of modes of operation and a very quiet running. The speed of the spindle is 26 to 52 rpm.
  3. Three-phase motor with polarity switching of 2 kW. There is a pedal to protect the inclusion of an automatic cartridge. In addition, there are two modes of operation.

A feature of the machine in question is the presence of two automatic cartridges with a fast clamp. This allows you to accurately and quickly fix and process the workpiece without slipping the pipe.

Most self-centering pipe-cutting machines are equipped with solid steel frames, a special handle for spindle feed, and a cutting disc that is designed for a long service life. In addition, these devices allow you to cut various threads without much expense. When choosing a device, pay attention to its performance. It is also worth considering the power and versatility of the unit and its main purpose. If the machine is required for industrial use, it is better to pay attention to powerful and multifunctional models, and for easy operation in a private economy, an easy mobile modification will do.
