Writer Sergei Vladimirovich Mikhalkov: biography, works and poems for children

Undoubtedly, Sergei Vladimirovich Mikhalkov, even at the zenith of his work, deserved the right to be called the patriarch of Russian literature. The mere fact that he is the author of two Soviet (1943, 1977) and later Russian (2001) hymns, proves the need to perpetuate his name in the Guinness Book of Records. Mikhalkov Sergey Vladimirovich, whose brief biography contains a lot of interesting and noteworthy, comes from the ancient Russian race. His pedigree is unique. His father - Vladimir Alexandrovich Mikhalkov - was a graduate of the Faculty of Law of Moscow State University. He was a religious man and was ready at any moment to stand up for the defense of his native Motherland.

The mother of the poet - Olga Mikhailovna Glebova - was the daughter of a district marshal of the nobility.

Sergei Vladimirovich Mikhalkov was born on March 13, 1913 in the Russian capital.

The desire for versification in him appeared in his childhood. Already at the age of nine, the future author of the Soviet anthem began composing verses and writing them down on paper. Father supported the initiatives of his son and even showed his works to the poet A. Bezymensky.

Personal life

In 1936, a young Mikhalkov engaged with the granddaughter of the famous artist Vasily Surikov - Natalia Petrovna Konchalovskaya, who was older than her chosen one for 10 years.

Prior to meeting with him, she already had a certain experience of family life: previously the poet was the spouse of the intelligence agent Alexei Bogdanov. In a marriage with him, Konchalovskaya gave birth to her daughter Catherine, whom Sergei Vladimirovich later adopted. The poet and Natalia Petrovna were happy together for a long time, having lived for 53 years. First they had a son Andrei, and then a son Nikita. The children of Mikhalkov Sergey Vladimirovich became famous people, having chosen a directorial career. Daughter Catherine became the wife of the famous writer Julian Semenov.

The poet passed away on August 27, 2009, having lived 96 years. Doctors ascertained a swelling of the lungs in Mikhalkov. The patriarch of Russian literature was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery of the capital.
