Wonderful: a synonym. Beautiful, wonderful

The narration without epithets becomes boring, flat and very quickly bothers. Perhaps that is why now even journalism is replete with adjectives designed to emphasize the qualities of people and phenomena - so it is possible to keep the reader's attention, adjust it to the appropriate mode and even form a public opinion. If we say about some person that he is wonderful (a synonym is also suitable), most people will take it for granted. Is it really a manipulation? Perhaps it's worth picking up some other adjectives as a description of the merits of a single person or phenomenon?

Semantic analysis of the word "remarkable"

If we analyze the semantic structure of this word, it becomes clear why it is used so often. If an object is said to be remarkable, then it has such outstanding qualities that it is impossible not to notice it, it attracts attention and evokes emotions. At the same time, the impression is positive, because only "good" is said about something good. The synonym for this is chosen exactly similar in semantics, but often more specific. Why was this object seen? Because it's good, beautiful, best, positive and even exceptional in its own way.

Virtually any synonym for the word "remarkable" coincides with it in terms of semantics, in meaning, outlines similar qualities or makes important clarifications in the description. This allows you to fully depict the subject, personality or phenomenon, which is discussed in the narrative.

Simple selection of synonyms for the epithet "remarkable"

If there is no desire to reason logically, then you can use the relevant services on the Internet or take a dictionary of synonyms. However, here there are special features. In the dictionary it is hardly possible to find a sufficiently large number of words that supplement such a feature as "remarkable." A synonym can approach a description of an object, but does not correspond to a person or phenomenon, and so on. Online services also sin inaccuracies, because they are based on the same principles as the synonyms programs: they choose synonyms, including obsolete words or expressions, do not take into account the context, as a result, a rather strange and incoherent text can turn out.

Describing an object, you used the word "remarkable". The synonym in this case depends on the context, and it is selected in such a way as to introduce specifics, to diversify the vocabulary set in the narrative. "Beautiful" and "reliable" - only partly, rather, this is an explanation of why you think this purchase is a good choice. But the "best", "excellent" and "beautiful" are synonyms.

These dangerous epithets of superlatives

In describing the positive merits, it is very easy to cross the line and achieve the opposite effect. If you are writing an advertising text about a vacuum cleaner in which a couple of times "wonderful" and "reliable" is found, then it would be a mistake to include there as well an epithet like "the best." The synonym in this case is fully justified, it duplicates the previous two words on semantics, dilutes the specifics, but inspires the reader with distrust on an intuitive level.

The most beautiful, the most beautiful, the most delicious, the most delicious and even the most notable are superfluous epithets capable of spoiling the impression. They are good in the art text, in poetics, in the recipe, finally, but not in the advertising text. Consumers already know that advertising tends to manipulate their purse, do not do so rude. This is also true for political advertising. Therefore, the best synonym for the word "remarkable" is, for example, "outstanding" for the politician, "elegant" for the cloak (specifying the specifics) and "reliable" for the vacuum cleaner.

In news topics, superlative epithets should be banned, their use violates the principle of an unbiased journalist who must report the news without staining them with his personal attitude to what is happening. The exception, perhaps, are positive notes from everyday life, encouraging citizens to make charitable contributions, throwing trash into urns and not smoking on the streets.

Emotional coloring of the words "beautiful", "wonderful", "best"

In addition to semantics, epithets provide the text with an emotional tonality, this allows you to more fully own the attention of the reader or listener, create the right impression. It awakens the imagination, facilitates visualization of what has been read or heard, if it is not reinforced by the video sequence.

If you read such or such epithets as "outstanding", "excellent" or "wonderful," you perceive the object as "good", "right" and "best". A synonym in this case helps to convey the same thought with another expression and lead you to the conclusion that you agree with the author. If something has these positive characteristics, it will be the default by default.

The appropriateness of the use of praising epithets

Praising the phenomenon, personality or object, it is better to write less than too much. Expressed figuratively, the under-salted dish can still be eaten, but the salted dish is unlikely. In a particularly vulnerable position are creators of advertising texts and speechwriters. It is not necessary to apply such an epithet as "the best", a synonym of calm emotional coloring will be more suitable - let it be just "best", "wonderful" or even "excellent".
