Knowing what law is, is not only knowing the concept, but its fundamentals and essence. This is generally an important aspect of life in modern society, because our whole life is somehow controlled by law. First, it serves to prevent and prevent crime or delinquency. Secondly, it helps the society to systematize its life, which allows to maintain stability for as long as possible. Thirdly, it prescribes all our fundamental rights, and also places them at the forefront, recognizing their supremacy (accordingly, the law sets itself the task of protecting, executing and restoring our rights).

First step

To begin with, we will deal with the concept of "law". This is a necessity that will allow you to get a general idea about it, because its execution for all people (not only citizens) who are on the territory of the Russian Federation (or other states) is mandatory. Remember that "ignorance of the law does not absolve from responsibility." Just want to note that the concept of "law" for each author is different, and as such, there is no one definition. It is necessary to take into account the discipline within which you are considering the term.

For example, the recognized concept in the system of law sounds like this: the law is a normative legal act that has a higher legal force, adopted by the higher representative (legislative) body regulating social relations. What is the legal force? This is the place of the NAP in the system of law or its supremacy (the system is hierarchical). This means that the law is at the top of the legal system. An example can be the Constitution of the Russian Federation - the main law in the territory of the Russian Federation. In a broad sense, the law is any NPA operating in one or another legal system. But we should take into account that the by-laws are also related to the NAP, but they are not a direct reference to the concept of the law (they are published to help him, but their legal power is much less). We can say that the law is a normative legal act adopted by the legislative subject of the Russian Federation. But this concept is not entirely correct from the point of view of law. After all, it does not reveal the basic meaning of the concept. Under this definition, it is possible to fit any NRA, even a local one (the NRA that is published and adopted at the local level, that is, in different organizations and institutions), and it is at the very bottom of the hierarchy of law according to its legal force.

Variety of laws

For each sphere there is a definition of the word "law". This concept will be different depending on in which sphere we use it. It can be a social area, religious or otherwise. That is, for example, the law is (in philosophy) the essential laws between phenomena. As you can see, the concepts are very different (in view of the fact that philosophy studies the fundamentals of being, and jurisprudence is the existence of people, the state and civilization as a whole in the legal system). In physics, the law can also consider patterns, only between physical phenomena. By the way, every science has its own laws (practically every one). The same physics has, for example, Ohm's law or Archimedes' law , etc. They should also be known, because otherwise we will not be able to solve this or that problem on this topic, and also to advance in the study of science. Philosophy also has its own laws. This is necessary in order to facilitate the process of knowledge of science as much as possible. Knowing the laws, we actually know thousands of patterns of this or that sphere.

Difficulties

As you could already understand, the meaning of the word "law" (as well as its meaning) vary considerably depending on what science we are considering. However, it should be remembered that knowledge of the law (if we consider the system of law) is incredibly important for our life. He will regulate all spheres of life, which means that if we want, for example, to open our own enterprise, we will have to do it in accordance with the current legislation. But that's how everything sounds in an ideal. In fact, we have thousands of articles and dozens of codes that even a professional lawyer can not study. In addition, the laws are updated every year (if not more often), they are amended, new articles are being developed. So an ordinary citizen knows all of them (even a small part of them), as a rule, not under force. In this case, various kinds of codification (the process of combining rules of law that regulate one and the same sphere of society in a single code), systematization (the intellectual process, consisting in the construction of a unified system of rules of law) and incorporation (the process of uniting all available Norms of law, for example, the Code of Laws of the Russian Federation), which considerably facilitate the process of searching for and studying a particular rule of law or an entire system of norms.

The result

As you can see, the law is a concept that will differ markedly depending on the sphere in which we use it. But there is one thing in common between them, which unites all the terms - this is their importance both in the process of life activity and in scientific cognition.
