The history of the village

The village of Konstantinovo was founded in the beginning of the 17th century and has almost 400 years of history. At that time the place belonged to the royal family. After a while, the princes of Myshetsk and Volkonsky received the gift of ownership.

Most went to one of the brothers Myshetsky - Jacob, whose lands were inherited by his daughter Natalia, who married KA Naryshkin - the approximate Peter the Great. Later, the descendants of the Naryshkins, Golitsyns, Olsufyevs became the owners. In 1987, the owner of the village became an honorary Moscow citizen, a millionaire I. P. Kulakov, after his death the hostess became a daughter - Lidia Ivanovna Kashina.

But the greatest popularity Konstantinovo acquired later - already in the 20 th century. October 3, 1895, the future poet Sergei Esenin was born here. Childhood and adolescence of Sergei Alexandrovich passed in this place. The very name of the village has no mention in his works, but the reader can not help but feel the inseparable connection of the two components: Yesenin - Homeland. She in the form of a collective image is sung in many of his poems.

Esenin Literature Museum

In the center of the village there is a memorial complex - the Yesenin Museum, a plain house with carved shutters on three windows. In fact, the cottage in which the poet lived since he was 15 years old burned 3 years before his death. Not without the efforts of the sisters Esenina - Catherine and Alexandra - recreated the spirit of the situation that was during the life of their brother.

On the territory of the complex grow trees planted by Sergei Alexandrovich a year before his death, open to visit a timepiece with a roof of straw and barn, in which the poet wrote some of his famous poems.

It was rebuilt numerous times, and later, at the end of the 18th century, according to the decree of Golitsyn, a stone version was erected. From that moment, the temple was watched and protected from any external influences. In the church the parents of S. Yesenin were married, and afterwards the poet in it was baptized. With the coming to power of the Bolsheviks, the church began to be used as a barn and a warehouse for agricultural machinery. Currently used for its intended purpose.

Zemsky school was built by order of merchant S. Kupriyanov for the training of peasant children. In it from the age of 9 studied Sergei Esenin, it was destroyed, then restored in 1994. In the school you can see the exposition telling about the pupil period of the poet's life, his mentors, in general about the zemstvo schools and their role in the educational and upbringing process.

The Chapel of the Holy Spirit is located across the street from the church, the original view was not preserved, was restored in 2002.
