We cook homemade strawberry jam

Probably, no one needs to tell how tasty and fragrant jam is made from strawberries. This delicious sweetness can be served to tea simply or as a supplement to pancakes, fritters, fresh rolls. You can bake pies and buns with strawberry jam . Of course, today a variety of jams can be purchased in the store, but it will be much tastier if this wonderful dessert is cooked on its own, especially since it is quite simple.

Classical jam from strawberries is prepared as follows. For a kilogram of purified berries you need to take the same amount of granulated sugar. Experienced housewives know that the best jam is obtained from the berries of the last harvest, which are smaller in size, but more sweet and fragrant.

For the preparation of sweet billets special dishes are needed. Traditionally, a copper basin is used for these purposes, but today such dishes are not available for everyone. Alternatively, use a low pan with a wide bottom.

Prepare berries. First of all, you need to wash the strawberries carefully. To do this, you should collect water in a deep basin, then pour in a small part of the berries and mix them very gently with your hands. Sand and dirt, if they were on berries, will settle on the bottom of the basin. After washing, you need to peel the strawberries (remove sepals) and sort the crumpled and unripe berries. Now put the peeled berries on paper towels to make it dry out a little.

Ready to put the strawberries in a bowl for cooking and fall asleep with sugar. Leave for 10-12 hours - during this time a sufficient amount of juice is formed. You can do otherwise, by welding the syrup from the specified amount of sugar and a glass of water, and then pour in the cleaned berries.

To make the strawberry jam turned out beautiful and the berries retain their shape, it is desirable to cook the jam in several receptions. During the first cooking, you need to boil the future dessert for ten minutes, then remove the pelvis from the fire and leave it for 8-10 hours, covered with a clean towel. Then repeat the operation two or three more times, bringing the fragrant treat to the ready.

You can cook jam from a strawberry and in another way. To do this, take a kilogram of berries and a half kilograms of sugar and two glasses of water. From sugar and a specified amount of liquid, cook the syrup, which is poured into the prepared strawberries at the end of the cooking. Then put the dishes on the fire, bring the jam to a boil and immediately remove it from the fire. After fifteen minutes, we again return the container to the plate, re-bring it to a boil and remove again, letting it brew for fifteen minutes. Repeat this way five times, then take a noise and carefully remove the berries from the syrup, unfolding them on clean and dry jars (it is better to take a container with a capacity of 0.5 - 0.75 liters). The remaining liquid part of the jam is again put on the stove and boiled for another fifteen minutes. Then, with hot syrup, pour the berries in the jars and roll the container. We turn the jars and put them on the blanket until the moment they cool down. According to the same recipes, it is possible to cook jam from forest strawberries.

But how can I make a dessert, a five-minute meal. The advantage of this recipe is that the berries are exposed to short heat treatment, so the jam gets a beautiful look, and vitamins are preserved in it better.

On a kilogram of prepared berries you need to take from four to eight grams of sugar. You need to orient yourself to taste. Love the sweet - put the sand at the maximum rate. Prefer a less sweet option - rinse less sugar.

Ready berries fall asleep with sugar and send dishes with a half-finished product of jam in the refrigerator for about twelve hours. Then put the pellet on the fire, bring the mass to a boil and continue to cook for five minutes, carefully removing the foam. Then we pour the jam from the strawberries over the sterilized jars and seal them tightly. Keep this amazingly tasty dessert better in the refrigerator or cellar.
