Vasiliev Constantine. Singing Rus

A brilliant artist, praising the epic Rus, is the heritage of the nation. His works are finished and harmonious. In his youth, experimenting with styles, Vasilyev Constantine still finds his - an authentic, unique.

Childhood

The future artist Vasiliev Constantine was born in a very difficult time for the country. On September 3, 1942, the native Maikop was occupied by the fascists. The father of the artist was an active participant in the partisan movement. Mother was left alone with the baby. During the war, she even got to the Germans, but fortunately, the shooting was avoided. The first years of life of the little Bones were hungry and cold. After the father's return from the war, the family moves to a small village near Kazan. Here the future artist spends his youth, and here he is seriously drawn to painting for the first time.

Kostya, living in difficult conditions, often was sick - he had pneumonia for pneumonia. So, during another illness, my mother gave him a box of pencils. Little Vasilyev Constantine greatly valued them and, keen on creating drawings, quickly recovered. He was strikingly different from most boys of his age - he did not play soccer and did not play hide and seek, but all the time he devoted himself to drawing in solitude and tranquility.

Youth

The family was sympathetic to Kostya's interest in painting, and at the age of eleven he entered the Moscow Art School. Teachers immediately note the talent of a gifted child and in every way contribute to its development. However, to finish the Moscow school Konstantin was not destined. In 1957, Vasilyev's father fell seriously ill, and he was transferred to the Kazan Art College. According to another version, the transition to the Kazan School was caused by indignation of teachers by the work of Constantine. During Khrushchev's thaw, Vasiliev was carried away by modernism and surrealism. The director of the school asked the parents to pick up the guy, so that he would not decompose the younger generation with his interests and discipline.

During this period the artist experiences unrequited love and more and more withdraws into himself, becomes a recluse, devotes much time to classical music and writing paintings.

Maturity

Having completed his education, Vasiliev Constantine works as a teacher in a secondary school. He teaches drawing and drawing. In parallel, he works as an artist-designer. The artist's life was cut off early and tragically. In the fall of 1976, under mysterious circumstances, Constantine Vasiliev gets under a train.

Creation

After appealing to the avant-garde trends, the artist stops at classical realism. Over time, Konstantin Vasilyev, whose paintings are filled with a heroic epic and fairy motives, becomes a true poet of Slavic culture. But he addresses not only to the epic Rus, but also to the Scandinavian epic, mythological subjects, the Irish sagas. In addition, the artist Konstantin Vasiliev depicted the heroic themes of the life of peoples, and also often referred to the subjects of the Great Patriotic War.

Many art historians call Vasiliev a continuer of Vasnetsov's creativity for primordially Russian motifs. But there are skeptics who consider the artist's genius bloated in an empty place and skilfully untwisted by lovers of the Russian national idea. Critics say excessive ideality, "lick" pictures.

But the artist also applies to painting, to portraits. Clear colors, balanced composition, neat strokes characterize the work of Vasiliev. Each fragment of the picture is an independent finished work. The artist's works are simple, static, accessible to people even if they are not sophisticated in art. They differ in their internal balance and in some solemnity.

Museum of the artist

The last years of his life, Vasiliev spends in the country, that in the suburban village of Lianozovo. Here in 1998 the museum of Konstantin Vasilyev was opened. And after 11 years it was unexpectedly closed. This turn of events happened because the former artist's dacha is located in close proximity to the local park of culture and recreation and forest belts. On such a prestigious land put the eye raiders who wanted to build here residential buildings. In order to remove from its path interfering with the embodiment of the idea in the life of the museum, even a fire was built. The museum and some of Vasilyev's works were affected by the flames, and the paintings were handed over to the sister of Constantine for safekeeping.

However, thanks to the efforts and efforts of the public organization "Vasiliev's Painting Fans Club", the museum bearing the proud title of Slavic culture was again opened to visitors in 2012.

At the moment, the museum named after Konstantin Vasilyev represents ethnographic expositions and exhibitions of contemporary artists chanting the native Russia.
