Driver-Freight Forwarder: Rights and Responsibilities
The driver-forwarder is a fairly common profession today. A huge number of various organizations use its services.
The main duties of the driver-freight forwarder are:
- Implementation of all orders of the company management.
- Loading goods (cargo) from a warehouse.
- Checking the integrity and quality of packaging and goods.
- Control of the necessary inventory for the transport of goods.
- Accuracy during loading and unloading, as well as cargo transportation.
- Quality placement of cargo in a vehicle.
- Providing the necessary regime of cargo storage.
- Escort of goods from the warehouse to the destination.
- Compliance with a categorical ban on the transfer of cargo to third parties.
- Management of travel sheets.
- Refer to the manual with proposals relating to issues within its competence.
- Require management to comply with the labor conditions in accordance with the Labor Code.
- Declare to the management of the technical malfunctions of the vehicle or any other inconvenience at work.
- Require all necessary documents regarding the cargo and the car.
- To submit for consideration of the head of the proposal on elimination of shortcomings in the workflow.
- Know about the decisions of the management of the enterprise regarding its work activity.
In the event of failure to perform their duties, offenses, causing material or other damage, the driver-freight forwarder may incur administrative, civil or even criminal liability.
