Valerian Kuibyshev: the mystery of death

Nevertheless, for many years the name of Valerian Vladimirovich Kuibyshev (1888-1935) was in complete oblivion. It's amazing, but even the fact that his sudden death was the result of purposeful actions by a whole group of conspirators, and this fact was established by the court in 1938, did not add to Kuibyshev's fame.

The Kremlin funeral

Valerian Kuibyshev died on January 25, 1935, exactly twenty days after the murder of SM Kirov. Workers of the Column Hall of the House of Unions, only a little sighing, that very often the Kremlin's bonzes began to die, they prepared the room for reception of the coffin with another high-ranking deceased. Fortunately, that it was not far off to carry him. Kuibyshev Valerian Vladimirovich worked, lived and died in a building next to the House of Unions.

Today the Russian State Duma is sitting in this building, and then in 1935 a very significant inscription "Sovnarkom" shone on the house.

His apartment was located here. It was enough to leave the Sovnarkom building, turn around the corner to Tverskaya Street and immediately again, to the right into the arch.

Memory of a friend

Numerous obituaries were printed on the pages of the newspaper Pravda and other printed publications of the Soviet Union: from the Politburo, from those with whom Kuibyshev had to work, from the people and the party as a whole.

The journalist who remained unknown to anyone wrote: "The country is bending its banner over the coffin of Kuibyshev, but the might of our party, the might of the heroic working class and the collective farm peasantry is unshakable. Let the enemies not lull themselves, that this great loss for one minute will violate our steel struggle for the final victory of communism. "

An unblemished party member

As follows from the archival documents, Valerian Kuibyshev (the biography of the members of the Politburo confirms this) was not on any lists compromising his party career. Perhaps, therefore, in the Stalin Politburo Kuibyshev was not the first-order quantity. The day of mourning in honor of his funeral was not announced. On the night before the party comrades prepared to accompany him on their last journey, the coffin with Kuibyshev's body was taken to the Don Crematorium.

Again, because of second-rate. Only those who belonged to the highest Kremlin rulers, were honored to be buried entirely in the coffin, and not subjected to the procedure of cremation.

Valerian Kuibyshev is buried next to his great friend and companion Sergey Mironovich Kirov. It was rumored that it was the murder of the latter that severely damaged Kuibyshev's health.

However, Valerian Kuibyshev's health was shaken even in the pre-revolutionary years. Eight arrests, four escapes, links, including in the Turukhansk region. Constant hassle. Living conditions are not resort. Few people without loss for health could endure this. Then the Civil War, in which Kuibyshev proved himself more than worthy. Few of the Kremlin bonz, except for the dashing conic of Semyon Mikhailovich Budyonny, could boast of such a feat. However, Kuibyshev did not boast, it was not in his nature.

A great workaholic

And yet, according to the memories of his close relatives, he really did not like to complain. It was extremely rare for him to hear that he does not feel well. However, the woman called a doctor from the medical-sanitary department of the Kremlin. When the doctors entered Kuibyshev's apartment, the owner was already dead.

The newspaper Pravda reports

The autopsy was conducted by the chief Kremlin pathologist, Professor AI Abrikosov. The conclusion he set out in the medical report, which was published in the pages of the newspaper Pravda, was quite predictable: "Comrade VV Kuibyshev's death resulted from the clotting of the coronary artery by blood convection, a thrombus formed as a result of a pronounced general arteriosclerosis that struck In a special degree coronary arteries of the heart.
