Unique museum of military equipment in Verkhnyaya Pyshma

A significant event occurred in the cultural and social life of the capital of the Ural region in May 2006. Here a unique Museum of military equipment was opened in Verkhnyaya Pyshma (a small town near Yekaterinburg). This history dates back to 2005, when the first exhibition of military vehicles was set up on an open site located not far from the central entrance of the metallurgical plant. In addition to the legendary machines that took direct part in the fighting on various fronts of the past war, heavy armored vehicles were produced on the open field, which was produced in the factories of the Urals in the post-war decades. Also in the exhibition is widely represented artillery of all kinds, calibers and special-purpose designations, surface-to-air missile technology and modern combat aircraft. Since the spring of 2013, the Museum of Military Equipment in Verkhnyaya Pyshma also has a closed three-story pavilion. It is built in the architectural style of the so-called Stalin Empire, which emphasizes the character of a bygone era. It houses exhibits from the category of light weapons. And in the upper part of the atrium of the building are the most famous combat aircraft, which protected the sky of the Motherland and thundered the enemy from the air. In the closed pavilion, civil engineering is also widely represented, connected with the historical epoch. Here is the largest collection of all kinds of retro cars on the whole Urals. The naval forces are represented on the open area by a torpedo boat with an ammunition and an upper deck superstructure of the submarine.
