Despite the fact that Magnus does not like to lead people forward, he manages to do it thanks to the initiative and the work of savvy at a critical moment. He does not like to fail subordinates, and this is what all Autobots appreciate in him.

First appearance

Ultra Magnus as a full-fledged character first appeared on the screen as the commander of a small outpost of robots on Earth. At this point, after some time, the Decepticons stormed the Destroyer, but the talented commander managed to repulse and even partially save the city, although the material damage was quite significant. At this time Optimus Prime was defeated by Galvatron (improved Megatron). The leader of the Autobots before his death handed over the artifact "Matrix of leadership" Magnus, who did not expect this. Decepticons have identified this and concentrated all their efforts on destroying the remnants of resistance. The new leader managed to distract them for a while, but Galvatron overtook them and arranged a fight inside the planet Jank. Transformers and Ultra Magnus gave battle in this place, but at the right time the "Leadership Matrix" did not open before him. The confused robot was shot, but he did not die. He was returned to the system of the inhabitants of the planet, and he went to look for his companions. It turned out that the relic was discovered by Rodaimes Prime, who managed to turn the enemies into flight. He also appointed Magnus the leader of his staff.
