Two-story train: composition, photo, reviews

At the moment, only two two-story trains run on Russian railways: No. 104, Moscow-Adler, and No. 5, Moscow-St. Petersburg. Wagons of both trains were built at the Tver Carriage Works. A distinctive feature of these modern trains is much larger in comparison with the usual capacity.

First floor

Most of the passengers who have already managed to ride these trains, responds to them as relatively convenient. The cars are a bit tighter than usual, but they are quite comfortable. The height of the corridors is just over two meters. Doors in the compartment can be closed / opened using a magnetic card. Traveling by train is perfectly safe - the transitions between the cars are hermetic.

The company train is two-story - the composition, judging by the reviews, among other things, also very clean. Smoking in tambours is prohibited. In each car there are three bio-toilets. You can use them, including at stops. There are also containers for trash sorting in the train.

Second floor

Upstairs from the first floor is a rather well-equipped staircase. Steps of it are highlighted, you can keep for convenient handrails. A garbage container is installed on the interstorey site. Above it is suspended an overview spherical mirror. Passengers descending the stairs can see the ascending, and vice versa.

The second floor of the train is very similar to the first one. The only difference is that the ceiling here is slightly skewed, and the windows are very low - at the level of the adult's belt.

Train compartment

Arrange passengers who bought a ticket to the Moscow-Adler train two-story or to St. Petersburg, can very well. The compartments in these convoys are quite comfortable and well equipped. Each of them is designed for four people. The length of the shelves in the compartment is slightly less than in the cars of conventional trains. Eating out

When landing in a two-story train, as in any company staff, passengers are given bed linen. The ticket price also includes a sanitary and hygienic set, a press, boiled water during the whole journey and a dry ration. The latter includes drinking water in a bottle, jam, cracker, chicken pate, mustard, mayonnaise, waffles. Just like in regular trains, tea is periodically distributed. The hygiene package includes a spoon, fork, knife, toothpick, paper napkin.

As already mentioned, the passengers' opinion about these members was good. First of all, the low cost of transportation and the lack of standard inconveniences for Russian trains are noted: closed toilets at stops, heat or cold in wagons, non-operating boilers, etc.

The disadvantages of these trains are, first of all, passengers a certain crampedness of the cars. Clean and comfortable toilets - this is also what a two-story train can boast of. Reviews in this regard about him are also very good. However, in toilets it is sometimes smoked. Smoking in tambours of both compounds is prohibited. Therefore, some passengers do it in the toilet. It causes certain inconveniences and the absence of third shelves. If the luggage is too much, putting it will simply be nowhere.

Schedule composition

A two-story train moves a little faster than usual. The average speed is about 160 km / h. The schedule is designed so that most passengers are on the road for the shortest time. From Moscow to Adler on a two-story train can be reached in about 25 hours. To St. Petersburg - for 8 hours.

As you can see, a two-story train (photos confirm this) can be estimated as quite comfortable and comfortable. The ticket is inexpensive, and the train is moving very quickly. So you can put up with even a little cramped.
