Canyons of Crimea: review, description, sights and interesting facts. Grand Canyon of Crimea by car

Certainly everyone who goes to rest in the Crimea, hopes to see there something interesting and unforgettable. Fortunately, the nature of the peninsula is rich in beautiful and fascinating sights. Along with the sea, caves and mountain slopes, indelible impression can produce canyons of Crimea. These are unique objects of wild nature, the history of which is estimated for thousands of years. Today we will get acquainted with the three most famous Crimean canyons.

The Grand Canyon

For tourists who have visited here, the gorge, overgrown with wood, with clumps of rocks, clean springs and deep baths, remains one of the favorite places for life. Coming here, people are immersed in an atmosphere of peace and quiet. Nature fascinates with its beauty and inspires philosophical meditations. Here you want to remain silent and calmly look around, and there is something eternal in this silence.

The Grand Canyon was formed on the site of a gigantic split in the Ai-Petrin mountain range, when Boyka Mountain separated from it. The edges of the slopes practically did not fall off, and in shape the canyon resembles a partially split log. The depth of the Grand Canyon at different points is 250-300 meters. At the same time its width in some places allows two people, who took hands, to touch the opposite walls. It is thanks to this steepness, narrowness, coolness in the hot July days, semi-darkness, silence and a sense of complete domination of nature, people go here again and again. Assessing the scale of this beauty, one can realize the insignificance of our everyday problems and be inspired to conquer new heights.

Canyon visit

The main disadvantage of the canyon in the holiday season is an overabundance of visitors. Sightseeing buses come here from all the cities of Crimea. Therefore, from 11 to 15 hours along the stream along the only path there is a continuous two-sided chain of people. Because of this oversaturation, it is difficult to enjoy true natural beauty.

Organized visits usually take a short route - to the Bath of Youth and back. But the basic beauty begins further. There the path is more complicated, but it's worth it. Therefore, after passing 100 meters above the Bath of Youth, you can be alone with nature. Here you are waiting for transparent pools with warm, warmed by the sun water, overgrown with spindle grass and yew birch, and the same silence. A little more up - and you will open the canyon itself. When you see it, you will begin to look at the Crimea in a new way.

Grand Canyon: how to get there?

Although this place is popular with tourists, the way to it can cause some problems. Without its transport it is rather difficult to come to the Grand Canyon of Crimea. The tour is the most comfortable way to visit this landmark. Its disadvantage is that you will have little free time to independently explore the natural beauties. But you will not worry that you will return safely to the right place. For those who still decided not to be shouted: "The Grand Canyon of the Crimea: an excursion", coming from all sides of the beach, and to get there by yourself, we will inform the route. First you need to get to the village of Falcon. From it along the highway Bakhchisarai-Yalta you need to pass / drive 5 kilometers towards Yalta. The entrance to the canyon will be near the road.

Grand Canyon of Crimea by car

For those who travel by car, there are no problems. You can visit the canyon at any time (as part of the visiting schedule, of course) and take a leisurely look at all the interesting places. Getting lost in the canyon is unrealistic, since the trails here are trampled more than noticeably. By the way, many tourists, going into the gorge, put on helmets to protect themselves from falling rocks. On their own, stones rarely fall, but when crowds of tourists pass over the top, the likelihood of injury is increasing. If you are going to the Grand Canyon of Crimea by car, it is better to put something in the trunk to protect your head.

Chernorechensky canyon

Speaking about the canyons of the Crimea, we can not fail to mention the Chernorechensky canyon. In the Bay of Sevastopol in the Inkerman River flows the Black River. In this place is located Chernorechenskoe reservoir. Its water mirror covers an area of six square kilometers. This is the largest reservoir in the Crimea, which supplies the whole Sevastopol with clean water.

Below the reservoir, Chernorechensky canyon of the Crimea begins. Its second name is the Small Canyon. Its length is as much as 16 kilometers. Stormy foamy water here alternates with quiet creeks, rapids, waterfalls and ledges turn into spills in which even islands are available. Under the canopy of trees is always damp and cool, and in the sun the rocks are hot. River spray spills from time to time with all the colors of the rainbow. Beautiful place! In the canyon there are baths, the water in which is even warmer than in the Grand Canyon. Only here it flows with pressure, so in some places it is dangerous to swim. On the banks of the river you can find many mushrooms, fireplaces of tourists and benches for rest.

Closer to the village of Morozovka begins a wide and deep gutter with a strong stream of water. Passing through it, tourists are insured with a rope. Walking along the canyon, you can meet huge boulders, dissecting water, large beech trees, old juniper, ferns, spindle grass and other interesting plants. The rapid mountain river gives the impression that we are somewhere in the Carpathians, and not in the Crimea.

The small canyon of Crimea includes many ascents and descents, so inexperienced tourists here are hard. It is advisable to walk on it from the conductors, since there are a lot of different paths, roads and steep rocks. In early September, the Chernorechensky canyon is unlikely to meet tourists.

How to get to Chernorechensky Canyon

In the lower part of the canyon you can get from the village of Chernorechye (1 km). On the way you can go to see the Chorgun Tower. In the middle part you can go from the villages of Morozovka (2 km) and Rodnoye (5 km). In the upper - from the road between the villages of Shirokoe and Peredovoe (0,5 km).

Canyon Kuchuk-Karasu

5 kilometers to the south of the Simferopol-Feodosiya road, just behind the village of Povorotnoe, the Kuchuk-Karasu River formed a canyon. It is distinguished by an abundance of waterfalls. Emerald waterfalls, "erosion boilers" and stone baths - this is what the canyon is famous for.

For three kilometers of the river there are five waterfalls. Each of them has its own characteristics. The first waterfall forms a bath of youth, or, as it is also called, the Diana Font. The water temperature does not rise above 10 degrees. Bathing in the font allows you to bring the body into tone and harden.

The second waterfall was called "Gorge". There is another bath with cold water. By the way, they are located here everywhere. From here you can see the waterfall of love. It consists of two small streams, which after the waterfall are combined into one powerful stream.

A little further you can admire the graceful trickle of the waterfall Kosinka. In the rainy season and the melting of snows, it turns into a huge braid. The last waterfall has no name, but it has more than 10 meters of height. It consists of alternating watercourses, plums and waterfalls that follow one another without intervals. As a result, the most powerful streams of water fall in zigzags, which makes an incredible impression.

Conclusion

Today we reviewed the main and most interesting canyons of the Crimea. In general, there are many more canyons on the peninsula, less fascinating, but also quite interesting. Walking along them allows you to escape from a monotonous beach holiday and see the Crimea on the other side.
