The TV show "The jury trial: the final verdict", whose actors are known to every third domestic viewer, has no analogues on Russian television, as it is a cross between two formats: the television series and the script reality.

general characteristics

"The jury trial" began to appear on the NTV channel in 2008 from the first of July. In the judicial show, criminal cases of various degrees are considered, and the adoption of judgments is made by jurors in accordance with Part 3 of Article 31 of the UAC of the Russian Federation. In April 20010, the transfer was subjected to several changes - the show was called "The jury trial: the main thing." In the new format, there was also an artistic statement of the crime, which is being considered at the moment, extended dialogues between jurors and participants in the trial, shots of the defendant's transportation from the camera to the meeting room. "The main thing" is a project in which elements of cinema are present, they unite the atmosphere of the court and the detective story.

Addition

On October 10, 2011, a new format was added to the program called "The Final Verdict", which is a continuation of the TV show "The Jury Trial". The main participants in the process of the demonstrated reality show "The jury trial: the final verdict" (the actors performing secondary roles change in each episode):

Story line

The plot line of each separate issue of the "Jury Trial": the final verdict ", the actors of which were at times overplayed, were unnecessarily emotional, built on the proceedings of a certain criminal case, which was played out on the grounds of a real offense. The structure of each episode is standard - the jury, traditionally consisting of a judge and twelve assessors, examines all the presented facts of the case, listening to lawyers and prosecutors. Further, after a small meeting, the board makes its verdict, stating the innocence or guilt of the accused.

Historical reference

"The jury: the final verdict", the actors and roles of which immediately after each issue become the subject of active discussion for the audience, unfortunately, does not have a background. But the practice of jury trials in Russia is distinguished by a complex history, which began as far back as 1864. The jury was formed as a result of reforms of the judicial system, produced by Alexander II, and practiced until 1917. The second birth of practice occurred in 1993 and today operates in most regions of the Russian Federation, specializing in ambiguous, complex and extremely confusing cases. The primary task of the jury is to reduce all their personal impressions and opinions about the case to a unified decision and an unambiguous answer to three main questions:

  • Was it possible for the prosecution to prove that the offense had taken place?
  • Is it proven that this crime was committed by a person who is currently in the dock?
  • Is he guilty?

Each time, after three exhausting hours of discussion of the submitted details on the case and the statements of the prosecutor and the defender, the jury must make a unanimous decision on the case in question. And at the climax the judge, who is strictly limited by the verdict of the collegium, according to the laws of the Russian Federation, determines the punishment for the perpetrator or removes all charges. The incidents presented in the show are really topical and require careful and detailed investigation, as a result, a massive legal education program is obtained. After all, the inhabitants are rarely acquainted with the regulatory framework. This project analyzes the current legislation for the topic specified in the episode.

Privilege

The viewers who prefer this show to other programs have a unique opportunity to learn what is not observed during the trial by either the jury or the judge - a retrospective of the dramatic and tragic events that became the cause or motive for the litigation.

The essence of the criminal case is conveyed to the actors watching the TV show "Jury Trial: Final Verdict" through artistic reconstructions of past events and memories. Thus, the restrained course of the trial process is transformed into an action crime criminal with elements of the action, and the viewer gets the most objective picture of what happened. Guided by common sense, logic and justice, the board is to pronounce a verdict in the TV show "The jury: the final verdict".

Actors, whose names no longer flash in the credits

Due to the disagreement and the conflict situation with the production company in the fall of 2010, the television show was abandoned by the producer-director Alexey Tabachnikov, prosecutors Dmitry Belonogov and Pavel Ilyin, who later became the main characters in the new television project Tabachnikov - "Prosecutor's Check".
