Tuning MAZ with their own hands. MAZ-500: car tuning

A car is much more than a vehicle, especially for the driver and owner. Actually, the car has long been the subject of the image, which brags and in which, one might say, live. And sometimes in the most direct sense of the word, when it comes to truckers - days can add up to weeks, and all this time passes in the cab of the truck.

This car began its history after 1957, that is, even in the times of the USSR. Till this time, the Minsk factory produced a model under the marking of 200, but all is once obsolete. This sad fate does not bypass the cars.

In general, these trucks were produced twelve years ago, which is quite a lot. And even now on Russian roads you can find such cars. Like much else, trucks in the Soviet Union were done on conscience, but not always for people. But more on that later.

Design Features

First of all, it should be noted that this truck was the first beskapotnoy model, released in the USSR. Progress at that time was slow enough, although in Europe and the United States, such a layout was already a routine, not a novelty.

Tuning - what is it?

In any form, tuning means changing the vehicle. There are several types. First of all, motorists usually engage in internal improvement, digging in the interior of the car. This they are trying to achieve other indicators on the road (usually higher). This is usually used either for old cars or for cars that are not initially very strong in this regard.

There is also an external component. All kinds of moldings, spoilers, bumpers and others like them.
In general, this affects the technical characteristics of the machine, but only indirectly. In fact, this is done solely to improve the appearance, according to the tastes of the owner. For the same use of paint, vinyl stickers, etc.

Is it possible to improve trucks?

In fact, this is a completely separate topic. Basically because the power and overall layout of the internal parts (meaning engine mechanism and other stuffing) are straightened out right at the factory. Here to change - only to spoil. But sometimes there are enthusiasts who manage to shove the engine and everything else from a more modern car into the old model. All this is done in the manner of a personal experiment and practically has no practical application.

Tuning MAZ, in turn, like any other truck, will focus on a few other things. For example, to increase the comfort of the driver while driving. Or simply bringing the machine itself into a divine state. Taking into account the years when the issue was terminated, it is also impossible to dismiss such an option.

Tuning of trucks MAZ

Here everything is somewhat more complicated than even for other trucks. The fact is that the details of the car are simply not manufactured anymore. Because it's up to you to pick something up solely "by eye" and yourself. Naturally, this is fraught with some inconvenience.

First of all, this is a mismatch between various driving mechanisms among themselves. 40 years have passed, and the MAZ tuning began to be a cosmetic repair rather than something else. But there is no need to reject other options.

In addition, do not be too lazy to check the shock absorbers, because if they are broken, it will be very uncomfortable to ride.

MAZ-5440: tuning

For this modification of the car, just like for the previous model, there are some problems with the temperature in the cabin. The point here is the design of the stove. These are just two radiators, which are connected to one motor, and moreover are powered in series.

Given the size of the cabin, it is clear that the task of the stove will not cope.
But to remove it is quite simple, and at least for this engineers can be thanked. For replacement, the stoves from other similar trucks are perfect. For example, the heater taken from the KamAZ booth will perfectly cope with its mission.

In addition, to enhance the effect you should either change the rear and side windows to make them more airtight, or simply close them with some dense material. The latter is the advice of one of today's owners of such a machine, and there is no reason not to believe it.

All these manipulations in general will give you the opportunity to ride without a fur coat, even in harsh northern conditions. Of course, it will not be very warm in the salon, it's worth remembering that this MAZ-500. Tuning the cabin of such a configuration will at least allow to work normally, not paying attention to the temperature outside the window.

A few useful trivia

First of all I would like to note such a nonsense in the design, as the mirrors of the reverse. More precisely, the point in their mounts - at a sufficiently high speed or uneven road creates the feeling that there are no screws at all. Everything is solved quite simply - by replacing the mirrors themselves, since even other fasteners do not guarantee reliability.

If you plan to use your truck as a tractor, then you should know that more powerful engines (for example, YaMZ 238) take up more space. Therefore, it is necessary to slightly change the structure as a whole, so that everything fits.

Also consider the fact that the shelf in the cabin is not very comfortable. To fully use the cab with all possible comfort, and for long-distance flights this is especially important, it will be best to lower it below. It will take a Bulgarian and a welding machine plus experience with handling these devices.

Conclusion

It should be noted that tuning MAZ with their own hands is quite a problem. Remember that all your actions should eventually increase the usability. If everything is done for greater power or appearance, it almost never pays off.

With any changes in the design should not rush. If you are not sure that everything is in order, it is better to consult a specialist in the car workshop.
