Tubular mushrooms: description

Tubular mushrooms (along with lamellar fungi) belong to the category of long-standing acquaintances of man. Their ancestors collected from time immemorial. Where did the tubular mushrooms get that name? On the bottom of the cap they can see a large number of microscopic tubes that serve to mature the spores. These fungi have one more name - spongy. They are named so precisely because of the appearance of the lower part of the cap, which seemed to someone like a sponge. Tubular mushrooms are both edible and poisonous.

The edible are all well-known podberezovik, boletus, white fungus, moss. This is an incomplete list, the family of tubular mushrooms is much more extensive, but we will analyze only the most common species.

Borovik, or white fungus, deservedly called the king of mushrooms. This mastiff can reach large sizes. In individual specimens, the size of the cap, under favorable growth conditions, is up to fifty centimeters in diameter. White mushroom is suitable for any cooking method: cooking, frying, pickling, marinating. Dried, it retains its high taste qualities, unlike some other mushrooms, which acquire a specific, often unpleasant, odor. Such a universal culinary characteristics does not have, perhaps, more than a single mushroom. Where they are to the king!

Tubular mushroom podberezovik is also a popular and beloved people mushroom. Despite the name, he loves to grow not only under the birches. He excellently feels himself under the briar, or any other shrub or tree, or even at all under anything. It costs itself in the middle of a clearing, and the mushroom pickers wait. Bunnies (they are also called obobkami) will be good in soup or in a skillet. However, dried up - is also very much nothing.

Podisinovik like a poderezozovik like a brother, except that red. And his leg on the cut immediately turns blue. Occurs less often, and just like a brother, does not always settle under a tree that gave him the name. By the taste qualities - about the same as the poderezozovik. Unless in a small box looks more cheerful.

Mokhovik prefers mostly warm edges, so it is more common in the south of the country, although it is often found in the middle zone of Russia. Some mushroom classifiers claim that the mossworm is the closest relative of the white fungus. Others do not say anything. Whatever it was, the moss has high taste qualities, however, still yielding to the fungus. Its name was received due to the fact that it often occurs where there is moss.

But not everything is so radiant in this family. There are tubular mushrooms, which should not be used. Deadly poisonous here, however, not marked, but if you mistakenly or frivolously eat an inedible mushroom, a lot of unpleasant sensations you are guaranteed. The most famous of them is the satanic mushroom. The name speaks for itself. With its use, a powerful digestive disorder is inevitable. Although the satanic mushroom, as well as the white one, belongs to the genus of boroviki, it differs from its colleague radically.

This, of course, does not end with the description of the group "tubular mushrooms". Examples can be found in any locality - more or less known. Tubular mushrooms are many, including even ternals who like to settle on the trunks of living trees.

And in conclusion I would like to give advice to beginner mushroom pickers. The advice is brief, but important. It sounds like this: I'm not sure - do not take it! Mushrooms, depending on the saturation of the soil with different elements, from humidity or other growth characteristics, can take on a form different from that prescribed in encyclopedias or collection aids. In the absence of experience, it is very, very easy to confuse edible and inedible mushrooms. If you make a mistake, you will at best get rid of the washing of the stomach and a few days in a hospital bed. Doubt, in the mushroom - better go around it, let it cost itself further. For your age and others will suffice. More tasty!
