Troparevsky Park - south-west of the capital

The location of the Troparevsky Park is Moscow (southwest), near Ostrovityanova Street. You can get to it either by metro or by bus or minibus going to Leninsky Prospekt.

Troparevsky park covers an area of about 515 hectares and is considered one of the most beautiful and cozy recreation areas of Moscow.

Founded in the sixties of the last century, it was first named in honor of the 22nd Congress of the CPSU, but later it was renamed Troparevsky Landscape Preserve, in honor of the neighboring district of the same name, but Muscovites themselves call it simply a recreation area. All the trees here are under strict supervision, they are well looked after, producing periodic planting of new plants. In the forest there are many birches and pines.

In general, the Troparevsky park is created on the basis of a forest, spreading along the ring road to the Moscow region. Initially, only the central square was here, from which the alleys departed. Here you could see squirrels, rabbits, sometimes even moose, but today, when Troparevsky Park is built up on all sides by residential quarters, there are no suckers, of course, for a long time already, but squirrels, moles and long-eared ones still come across.

There are also a huge number of birds that are very fond of feeding holidaymakers. The administration even arranged a special "bird town" near the square, where many ornamental birds live in the open-air cages.

Since 2002, the Troparevsky Park has become a natural territory protected by the state. It every year becomes more beautiful and more comfortable: a lot of gazebos have been built, quaint little bridges have been thrown over water reservoirs, children's playgrounds have been broken.

On the Ochakovka River, flowing through the park, a dam and a small pond were built, immediately becoming a favorite place for pastime residents of the surrounding areas.

In the pond you can swim, on its shore is arranged a beach with locker rooms and a "paddling pool" for the little ones. In spring there are many ducks with broods on the water, which fly to the warm countries by the whole family by autumn. In the pond there are many fish: crucian carp, bream, roach and even perch.

In winter, ice holes for local "walruses" are cut in the ice, and in the warmer months catamarans and boats float on the watery surface. Walking around the pond is a favorite activity for adults and children.

Nearby is the cleanest spring called "Cold", which has a chapel consecrated by Sergius of Radonezh. Muscovites consider this water to be healing, so they come here to recruit it.

In the square in summer there are many attractions, children ride electric cars and live horses.

In addition, the Troparevsky Park also has special grounds for volleyball, a summer stage. Many national holidays are held here - carnival, city day , etc.

Annually in the reserve there are festivals of folklore music called "Wild Mint".

In Troparevo there is something to do not only in summer, but also in winter. There are excellent paths for skiing, there is a good skating rink. Near the stage every winter, they arrange a slide for sledging and inflatable balloons. Usually in the winter it is very fun and noisy.

Troparevsky Park is especially beautiful in every season.
