The first week of life

At this age the crow of the raven is not yet able to maintain the body heat balance itself. The mother warms the children, and if the spring is hot, it cools them, waving their wings. Therefore, if you decided on an almost hopeless business of saving a newborn crows, you must build an incubator as soon as possible. It can be a small box (from under shoes or cake) or a potty. Inside, this container should be covered with a soft cloth. Take care that the new nest was covered with a light cloth, and above it, place the incandescent lamp. You can replace it with a heating pad located at the bottom of the box, but this measure can only be temporary, since the heating from below for the crow is inorganic. What to feed a young crows at this tender age? Adult individuals are almost omnivorous, but infants need a baby food. It should consist of 30-50% of grated carrots. This component is not only rich in carotene, but also helps to give the feed a sufficiently moist consistency, so that the baby swallows a piece and does not choke. Another 30% is a protein. Pounded low-fat cottage cheese, boiled yolks, kashki. Very useful for baby fish and minced meat. Baby formula, added to the feed, will provide you with vitamins, but you should not forget about adding crushed shells of raw eggs to food. So the chick will be quicker.

The second week of life

On the tenth day, the baby has the beginnings of future feathers. Thus, the crow of the crow no longer needs constant heating. Leave the lamp only for the night, and turn off the day, but the temperature in the room should not be below +20 degrees C. Until the body completely covers the fuzz, it is not recommended to remove the upper fabric from the nest. If in the first week to feed a chick you need every half or two hours (with a break for the night), then the meals should become more rare. You can accustom to the first command: to make a hoarse loud "a" before feeding, so that the crow's crow opens its beak.

In the care of the crow, it should be remembered that the emptying of these birds occurs immediately during feeding, so before the meal you should sit the chick on the newspaper.
