To save water - to protect your future

Tradition to save water for one reason or another exists practically in every corner of the globe. Today on the planet 0.6-1 billion people suffer from thirst. And the forecasts for such a state are disappointing. Somewhere in 15 years, under conditions of "medium and strong water stress," about 5.5 billion people will live. Our country is on the second place in terms of renewable water reserves after Brazil, which may lead to the situation that the territory will again become the object of military encroachments, as it has already been many times.

The worst thing with water is in Africa, which is primarily due to climatic conditions. According to the UN, about eleven million people "do not finish drinking" here. The population has to save water so much that in a number of areas, farmers are forced to massively slaughter livestock that has nothing to drink. So hunger is added to thirst.

In Europe, and recently in our country, because of the increase in utility fees, the desire to obtain additional savings has been reflected in the fact that a number of apartments have installed water meters. These mechanisms calculate how many cubic meters are "gone" per month, after which there is a payment per one liter. By reducing or increasing the amount of consumed cubic meters, you can save or spend more money on utilities. Correction of the pressure of water, which in some houses is installed at a very high level, can also help reduce the utility costs.

It is interesting to find Russian users who learned that the water flow from the tap is about 18 liters per minute, and under the shower - about twenty. These indicators can be reduced if water flow regulators (RVR) are installed in mixers. For example, a range of 2 to 9 liters of water flow per minute is produced. At the same time, it is considered comfortable to use at least 6 liters per minute for a crane and 9 liters of water per minute for a shower. Of course, these devices will only save water if the meters are installed.

In addition, the optimization of resource consumption is designed to support such a device as a water meter. It takes into account how much liquid (or other substance) has passed through the pipe for a period of time, including calculating this parameter for each specific use. It is believed that increasing the accuracy of measurements by a percentage or percentage of interest in the scale of the industry will provide a significant economic effect. However, in Russia, employees of the housing and communal services do not particularly seek this.

Absolutely different things are over the ocean. The United States of America and a number of other Western countries have learned to save water not only directly but also indirectly. Many do not know how much water is spent on the production of a particular product. To obtain a synthetic fiber in the amount of one ton, it is necessary to use 3,500 tons of water. To obtain 125 ml of wine you need 120 liters of water (including watering the grapes on the plantation and the whole technological cycle), and the production of cheese requires 5000 liters of water. Therefore, developed countries tend to transfer a number of industries beyond their borders, preserving natural treasures, among which pure drinking water is certainly the first place, only because we are largely composed of this substance and can not live without it for a week.
