The thickest women of the 20th century

Very few of the world's thickest women weighed over four hundred kilograms. In the XX century, an incredible milestone exceeded the American Carol Ann Jager, Rosalie Bradford, Carol Haffner and Brazilian resident Joselina da Silva. These four cases of extreme obesity among female representatives are presented in the article.

In the history of medicine, the name Carol Jager (Yeager) stands in line with the names of the most difficult people on the planet. Moreover, an American born in 1960, ranked first in the rating "The thickest women." In her life there was a period when the weight approached 727 (!) Kilograms. However, this astronomical figure has no documentary confirmation. Official sources include 544 kg, that is , Carol's body weight at the time of her death in July 1994. Pathological obesity was caused by the eating disorder that Carol Ann Jager suffered from childhood. Like other thickest women in the world, Carol lost the ability to move independently. In her short life (died of kidney failure at the age of 34) there was a period when the weight fell by 236 kilograms.

The world record of losing weight belongs to the American Rosalie Bradford, born in 1943. This gorgeous person was destined to be twice on the pages of the book of records. The first record - a huge weight (544 kg), the second - the loss of 416 kg of body fat. So effectively did not manage to lose weight to any representative of the female population of the planet. The thickest women often fall into despair from the inability to lead a full life, sometimes even resort to extreme measures - they make attempts to settle accounts with life. Was not an exception and Rosalie Bradford, at the age of 45 decided to commit suicide. Acquaintance with Richard Simmons, a renowned expert in weight loss, gave Rosalie a new chance, which she successfully used. Following the instructions of her guru, she was able to withstand rigid restrictions in the daily diet and throw off more than four centners of fat. Rosalie Bradford died at 63 years old.

As a rule, the thickest women rarely survive to adulthood. However, Hollywood resident Carol Haffner, weighed 464 kilograms, was measured for a relatively long time for an overly fat lady. Until this was possible, Carol was a regular visitor to the bingo hall. Having reached the maximum weight, she made unsuccessful attempts to find a sponsor who would help pass the weight loss program in Boston. At the age of 59, Carol died of heart failure.

Joselina da'Silva is a resident of Brazil, whose weight exceeded 400 kg (406). There are cases when the thickest women are subjected to heavy procedures undertaken for advertising purposes. In a prestigious institution for the full, who set the task of minimizing the weight of a woman and using the results to attract new clients, she sustained a severe diet and three surgeries to remove adipose tissue. She lost weight, but left the walls of the treatment center, very quickly returned to the previous dimensions. The cause of her death at 37 years was bilateral inflammation of the lungs.
