It can be different, therefore, it should be treated only with those drugs that eliminate a specific cause. The drug "Sinekod", for example, refers to antitussive drugs that affect the central nervous system. Its pharmacological action consists in blocking the cough center in the medulla oblongata . However, the blocking does not lead to disturbances in the respiratory function, so the agent is actively used even for simple operations. In addition, "Sinekod" has an expectorant and anti-inflammatory effect, and also slightly enlarges the lumen of the bronchi.

What is "Sinekod"?

The name of the drug is butamate. This substance has the property of eliminating even a stable dry cough. On the basis of butamirate a number of medicinal products are produced, which are indicated in the appropriate lists. They can also be called "Sinekod" analogs. Instructions for use are usually made with an indication of the true name of the active substance. "Sinekod" is produced in drops, syrup, dragees and tablets.

They also use it when performing surgical operations in the bronchi and upper respiratory tract to relieve the reflex reaction. The dosage of an antitussive is determined by a doctor who recommended using "Sinekod". Instructions for use, as a rule, also contain information on dosages and methods of administration.

Some annotations indicate the possibility of treating the drug in the form of drops of children from two months. However, most instructions recommend starting reception at the age of six months.
