The series "Escape": Michael Scofield, biography and series description

It often happens that the audience is so impressed with the acting that they can no longer share the screen character and the living person. A good example is Michael Scofield. Films "Stained reputation", "Another world", "Dinotopia" and others did not bring much popularity to Wentworth Miller. However, it was able to make the famous TV series "Escape", in which the young man played Scofield.

Prison Break

In the center of the plot are two brothers, Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield. The elder - Barrows, was sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit. Michael to save his brother comes up with a clever plan and as a result of his execution gets to the same prison to arrange an escape.

Studio FOX originally planned the release of the drama series for 2003, but due to the high ratings of "Lost" production had to be postponed for a year. However, "Escape" also took its share of the glory - positive assessments of critics and popularity among the spectators made certain adjustments. Instead of thirteen debut episodes, twenty-two series appeared on the screen, and in total four seasons were removed.

2005-2006 became the most successful for the film crew - the series was repeatedly nominated for such prestigious awards as Golden Globe, Choice of the Year and Emmy.

Season 1

Incredibly smart and attractive man - this Michael Scofield appeared before the audience. Even more sympathy from the female half was added by his sense of justice, courage and brutal appearance.

In order to get his brother out of prison, a young engineer commits a fictitious robbery of the bank, and then refuses a lawyer and, according to plan, gets to a pre-planned correctional facility. The firm in which Michael worked, was engaged in the reconstruction of an important object, so he knows quite a lot of interesting details about Fox River.

Remember the whole amount of information, even with the mental abilities of Scofield impossible, and he comes up with the original way out - to make a tattoo on which the detailed plan of the prison will be encrypted.

In parallel, his own investigation is engaged in an old friend of Michael and Lincoln. She's trying to figure out who's framing Barrows.

Season 2

Eight prisoners escape from the Fox River. After that, like-minded people are divided in order to realize their plans. The dismissed chief overseer decides to join the search, and the group of "hunters" is headed by Alexander Mahone, a federal agent. The brothers are in Panama, but they are overtaken by the pursuers.

Season 3

Winter strike writers slightly violated the plans of the studio. The filming process was actually paralyzed for 100 days, and as a result, the audience saw only thirteen episodes.

At the beginning of the season, the main characters are still in Panama. However, along with the federal agent and former supervisor in the local prison "Sona" is Michael Scofield. His biography is full of unexpected turns - it turns out that the son of Barrows and the girlfriend of Michael - Sarah Tancredi are taken as hostages. Extortionists from the government in return want to escape one of the prisoners in a Panamanian prison.

Season 4

In the fourth season, Lincoln and Michael Scofield are trying to confront high-ranking criminals. The audience is introduced to new heroes, one of whom is Don Self - an agent of the US Department of Homeland Security.

"Resurrection" Sarah Tancredi was a pleasant surprise for the fans of the series, because many thought that she died at the end of the third season.

The fourth season was shown in 2009 and was considered the last, because in the two-hour final, Scofield Michael was killed. Actor Wentworth Miller, however, hinted at a possible continuation of Prison Break.

Casting

As we have already said, the production of the series was postponed several times, so the director had enough time to select the actors. It is interesting that the main characters were found at the last moment.

Wentworth Miller came to the team a week before the filming began. Dominic Purcell, who played Barrows, was approved in three days. The appearance of the latter caused a lot of doubt, because the swarthy and long-haired Dominic was not associated with Lincoln. However, the first day of shooting was decisive - Purcell shaved nalyso, and it became obvious to all the external similarity of the two screen brothers.

The role of the prison doctor and girlfriend of the protagonist was performed by Sarah Wayne Callis. Because of disagreements with the leadership, the actress left the series after the second season, which greatly upset the fans. Folk love and hundreds of snow-white cranes from origami melted the hearts of producers - the heroine Callis decided not to kill and returned in the fourth season.

Our version

In 2010, the studio "Russian Project" presented a remake of Prison Break, the premiere of which took place on the First Channel. Unfortunately, the success of the original series could not be repeated, so the shooting lasted only two seasons.

Storylines and dialogues were almost completely copied, but a small part still underwent a change. For example, Michael Scofield rescued his older brother, who was awaiting the death penalty. There is a moratorium in Russia , but on the plot after the murder of a high-ranking official, the State Duma passes a law that abolishes the moratorium on the death penalty for articles "terrorism" and "pedophilia."
