Unsuccessful start

The premiere of "Beverly Hills 90210" was held in October 1990. As now, the issue of further shootings of the series was decided by the audience. Then the pilot series did not make a special impression, but because of the impossibility of changing the program grid, the channel's management did not stop the show "Beverly Hills 90210" (season 1).

Actors, director and screenwriters continued to work on the "teenage" drama, and the success did not take long. The film was evaluated next summer, when Fox showed a special season - against the background of the repetition of the old series of other serials, new episodes looked fresh and interesting. Thanks to the CTC channel, which since 1997 has shown ten seasons with full duplication, the audience has learned almost everything about the life of American teenagers in "Beverly Hills 90210". Plot

In the center of the plot are the Walsh family: Jim's father, Cindy's mother and the twins Brandon and Brenda. Moving from Minnesota to California was a real test for them. Most of all goes to children who are surrounded by rich and spoiled teenagers, without having the opportunity to match the company. Cindy and Jim hardly maintain authority, and changing the situation almost destroys their own marriage.

The twins quickly make friends - the story of each of them gradually opens before the audience. However, it is a mistake to assume the easy "teenage" character of "Beverly Hills 90210". Actors and creators of the series draw our attention to rather serious topics: the first sexual experience, indifference from parents, cheating on control, racial inequality, violence, teenage pregnancy, alcoholism, the problem of AIDS and the fatal influence of fame and fortune.

Main cast

Over the ten seasons of the Beverly Hills 90210 series, actors and roles have often changed. The longest on the screen we saw the heroes of Jason Priestley, Jenny Garth, Ian Searing, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling. Shannen Doherty, like her screen parents, left the show in the fourth season.

Partial change of the basic structure did not significantly affect the rating - the fans continued to follow the developments. According to the story, the company of friends celebrated the graduation of the school, and many students could not continue studying at the University of California. Meanwhile, critics have increasingly given negative assessments. In their opinion, the drama series gradually turned into a typical soap opera. In early 2000, the studio announced the closure of a popular project. In the last episode appeared almost all the actors of the series "Beverly Hills 90210".

Jason Priestley

The character of the modest Donna Martin was a great success for Tori. A little naive schoolgirl kept her chastity through conservative education and dreamed of a wedding. The novel with David Silver was the longest.

After numerous partings and reunions, the young people still got married in the final episode of "Beverly Hills 90210".

Actors then and now - how has their life changed? Fans of the famous series have always been interested in how their career developed after the show. Tori Spelling tried to get into the big movie, but the enormous success of the work in the films "Scary Movie 2", "Scream 2", "Naked Cinema" and "Love All Changes" did not bring.

The character of the spoiled daughter of a media tycoon was well known to Hollywood producers, so Torie Spelling returned to television projects and tried herself as a writer.

New generation

At the launch stage, the creators announced that the project would not be a remake, but a spin-off called "Beverly Hills 90210: The New Generation." Actors and the plot just a bit like a cult series.

The company of high school students from the West Beverly School, teenage problems and newcomers Annie and Dixon from the "simple family" - the beginning is very similar to the first season of "Beverly Hills 90210", the actors of which suddenly became stars.
