According to the manufacturer, the phone can function for 10 days in standby mode, and also up to 3.6 hours with intensive communication. Of course, there was used another battery, the capacity of which was 700 mAh.

The increased battery capacity, as well as the use of other housing materials, allowed to increase slightly the total operating time. The phone works approximately 10% longer than the 8800 SE. If we talk about the fact that when you switch to the SE modification, the time has also risen by 10%, you get a very interesting increase.

Screen

The display in this model is used by QVGA and has a resolution of 240x320. The screen can display 16 million colors, while the image is quite juicy and bright colors. It is worth noting that the manufacturer did not provide any functions that allow changing the settings of the screen backlight, since the menu simply does not have such functions. In other words, there is always a uniform illumination of the screen, which ensures economical energy consumption. The user is given a choice - to use the screen saver in the standby mode or just completely turn off the backlight, after which the display can be viewed under room lighting at a certain angle. It is possible to completely turn off the screen, which makes it black and excludes the display of any information. The display has a mirror layer that provides good behavior in the sun, that is, any text and menu items are easily read.

Many people say that the display was made using OLED technology, but in fact it is absolutely unreasonable statements, which originate from the work of journalists of the British media company TZ.

Camera

The camera in this device is 2-megapixel, which even by the standards of that time is not so much, but it is quite enough for shooting with more or less decent quality. In this model, we decided not to use the rate for any special photographic abilities, so the camera became optional. In this regard, it was decided to use not the most expensive camera modules, so the overall quality leaves much to be desired. There is a shutter release function during shooting, as well as the possibility of using a digital zoom with an eight-fold zoom, but its use is practically meaningless.

This device allows you to record video in 3GP format at a resolution of 174x144 or 128x96. The recording quality can also vary according to three main characteristics. If necessary, you can set limits on the total duration of the recording, but in the absence of a restriction, it will be maintained until the available memory is exhausted on the phone.

Thus, the phone can be called a fairly good option, even among modern devices, although it lacks a sufficiently large number of functions. Its only advantages at the moment are price, as well as design and reliability, which have always been the hallmark of Nokia phones.
