The nature of Yakutia is a beauty that must be seen with our own eyes

On our planet there are many beautiful places created by nature, which must be seen with our own eyes, but it is impossible to visit everywhere. One of the beauties that you need to contemplate with your own eyes is the nature of Yakutia.

Mysteries of nature

In the north of Siberia, between Chukotka and Magadan, the Khabarovsk Territory, the Amur Region and the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the East Siberian Sea and the Laptev Sea, Yakutia (Sakha Republic) is located.

The mystery of the nature of Yakutia is that it blossoms in the permafrost zone. Most of the territory is mountains, highlands and lowlands. Between the mountains and the hills the world's greatest rivers flow. Fusing along these rivers in conditions of unsurpassed beauty of the northern nature of the Republic, you get the most unusual sensations in life, because the climate in these places is nothing but the extreme, the coldest of all places where people live.

The temperature of the air varies from 35 degrees above zero in summer to minus 70 degrees in winter. Here is the pole of the cold of our hemisphere of the planet where the temperature is fixed -71 degrees. Such harsh living conditions have no analogues in the world. It's worth seeing with your own eyes, because the nature of Yakutia is definitely one of the most unusual on the planet.

Many residents of our vast country know about this subject of the Russian Federation no more than foreigners about Russia: a lifeless snowy desert, along which bears roam. All this is incredibly far and extremely cold, as in the fairy tale of the Snow Queen. And indeed it is.

Various animals live in this area, especially many deer. The climate features attract tourists here to look at the "pole of cold" and plunge into "permafrost". The nature of Yakutia, a photo of which can be seen below, causes travelers an irresistible desire to visit these places more than once.

A bit of history

Lovers of ancient history who wish to see the places where mammoths lived are sure to visit Yakutia. In the ice of permafrost, unique parts of ancient animals have been preserved . In the forties of the last century, scientists discovered here a huge burial of mammoth bones, unusual in size and safety. And in the 70s of the last century, at the cemetery of extinct animals, scientists collected more than seven thousand of their bones.

Limestone pillars on the river Lena

Huge poles, similar to the Stone Forest, can be seen on the river Lena in the Khangalassky ulus. Between the Pokrovsky and Yakut rocks rise, composed of limestones. Mysterious stone towers more than 160 meters high rise along the river, lined up for more than 75 kilometers, like the ancient giant guards. The pillars were discovered long ago, in the 17th century, but it was very difficult to get to these places. Only in the sixties of the twentieth century the first tourist routes lay down to the Lena Pillars. Now there is a national park. In addition to the pillars, an ancient man was parked in the park , 3 million years ago he lived in these parts and decorated the banks of local rivers with rock paintings.

Yakut Loch Ness monster in Lake Labynkyr

In the east of the territory there is another miracle of nature - Lake Labynkyr. In its waters, a mysterious animal allegedly dwells. The lake freezes very slowly, contrary to all scientific data. Fans of everything mysterious need to see this phenomenon with their own eyes.

Hills with hanging glaciers

In the northern part of Yakutia there are the Chersky Range and the Verkhoyansky Range, which are distinguished by steep slopes and hanging glaciers of extraordinary beauty. Brooks flow out from under the glaciers and are lost among boulders. Brooks are connected to each other and form streams with pure thawed water. The origins of these crystal rivers should also be seen with their own eyes. The nature of Yakutia will not leave indifferent any tourist.
