The musical characteristics of the "Fear Factor" group

The musical styles, in which today many collectives are created, are not always intelligible to the listener. But for a narrower circle of admirers, they will always remain interesting. "Fear Factor" is a relatively young rock band from Russia. Despite the direction of "modern-metal", it does not cause the fans feelings, described in the title.

From old to new

For twenty years, the national thrash metal band Trizna performed English-language songs. One of its leaders, Kirill Nemoliaev, immediately after the collapse organized the "Fear Factor", which, by and large, is the successor of its predecessor.

The former participant of the "Trizna" Konstantin Seleznev with great doubt agreed to the idea of a friend to create something new, leaving the band with a 15-year history. But today's standards demanded change. The first innovation was the rejection of English-language songs. "Factor of fear" was to distinguish modern material. Seleznev and Nemoliaev, who was also involved in the promotion of the group, invited the old soloists of Trizna. A year after education, in 2005, the debut album "Theater of military operations" appears.

Stitching style, sensual material

Declared as the "Act first", it is performed in the style of melodic death metal. Most of the compositions of the "Fear Factor" group reflect the human struggle with oneself and the surrounding world. They are united by militaristic themes and pacifism, traced in the background. Nine songs turned out to be aggressive, but with a lyrical digression, as the creators originally planned.

Exit the next part called "Act Two" was expected for the fans. The album is considered a semantic completion of the ideas put in the predecessor. The musical series, according to critics, has become more saturated. The "fear factor" has formed its own style, which will be followed in the future.

A new stage in creativity

In 2008, the fans saw the third disc. "Your ideal world" was created without the participation of Cyril Nemoliaev, all work was undertaken by Konstantin Seleznev. In addition to searching for a world that is different for everyone, the compositional theme of the "Fear Factor" group covers aspects of human phobias. All of them have an impact on the worldview. The lyrics are ways to deal with them. The track list of ten songs is executed in a logical sequence. "Code of fate" - the final call and completion of the concept of the plate.

Meanwhile, Konstantin Seleznev is engaged in a solo career, releasing in 2011 the album "Territory ... X". This does not affect the activity of the "Factor".

The team is replenished by Mikhail Sidorenko. It is noteworthy that earlier he worked in "The Scarlet Dawn" and the circus show of the Zapashny brothers. He takes part in several concerts, as well as in the recording of the next album.

The musicians of the "Factor of Fear" group noted a different concept of the future plate, which is distinguished by its heavy sound. Beginning to write songs, they set a goal - to create complete opposites to all previous compositions.

"Dead Dreams" is completely written by Konstantin Seleznev. It is sustained in mid-tempo sound. Critics call this a harmonious balance of drive and melody. The main material predominates in an aggressive key, but it catches the vocal performance. "Lost Paradise" is one of the powerful compositions of the album. It also includes two English-language tracks, presented as a bonus.

In the press, information about the disintegration of the collective slips. Later the participants confirm it. At that time, there were several songs in readiness. The musicians decide on the release of the album "Above the forces ...". He became the fifth and final disc of the group.

He, like previous work, is different in energy. "Above the strength ..." is filled with powerful, "zubodrobitelnymi" inserts. The title track "The World of Illusions" was released as a separate demo version.

Specified tempo

Despite the breakup, today the fans of the "Fear Factor" have not ceased to read the work of their idols. Many members of the team realized themselves in new projects. The main thing that always distinguished the band, and also what remains in the memory of listeners, is a unique style that combines tough brutality and piercing melody.
