One of the new and very promising drugs for ischemic heart disease (IHD) is the drug Predizin. Feedback from specialists, as well as clinical observations indicate that the use of this agent significantly reduces the number of episodes of angina (more than three times), reduces the need for nitrates. In addition, the medicine, being a metabolic modulator (capable of altering metabolic processes in cells) of myocardial cells, providing them with protection from ischemia, increases the endurance of physical exertion, improves the contractility in the left ventricle, lowers the differences in arterial pressure.

The preparation "Predizin" describes the instruction as the only cytoprotective agent (myocardial), approved for use as an antianginal agent.

The medication is able to improve metabolism (metabolic processes) in the myocardium and neurosensory organs under conditions of ischemia. The active component, trimetazidine, has an antihypoxic property. The active substance optimizes the function and metabolism of cardiomyocytes and neurons in the brain directly affecting them. The cytoprotective effect is associated with an increase in the energy potential, rationalization in oxygen consumption.

The drug prevents the damaging effect of free radicals and preserves integrity in cell membranes. With angina, the drug "Predizin" reduces the frequency of seizures. When it is used, there is no need to use nitrates (nitroglycerin, in particular), noise in the ears, dizziness decreases. In the presence of vascular pathologies of the eyes, functional activity in the retina is improved.

The drug is prescribed for 35 mg (one tablet) inside, a day twice. It is recommended to take during meals in the evening and in the morning. The duration of treatment is determined by the attending physician.

Do not prescribe the drug in renal, hepatic insufficiency, violations of kidneys, liver of a marked nature, under the age of eighteen (due to lack of information about safety and efficacy), pregnancy, intolerance, lactation.

After taking Predizin, abdominal pain, vomiting, dyspepsia, nausea, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, urticaria, rashes on the skin, asthenia are often noted. Rarely there are flushes of blood to the face, tremor, rigidity (difficulties in perceiving the surrounding situation, reversible after stopping the medication), orthostatic hypotension.

Medication "Predizin" is not intended to eliminate attacks of angina pectoris. The drug is not used in the initial therapeutic course of myocardial infarction or unstable angina. When the attack develops, it is necessary to revise the treatment.

The drug "Predizin" does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or engage in activities associated with increased concentration of attention.
