The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

As a true cinematographer, I was eagerly awaiting the release of the Hollywood version of "Girls with a Dragon Tattoo." All the components of the upcoming sensation were evident: the screen version of the world bestseller; Unbanal plot, from which Hollywood almost us ushnil; A dynamic story from a non-American life with obvious local characteristics (applause from all antiglobalists); Cult director Fincher, and, busily saddling James Bond heroine, charisma and temperament, eclipses all the advantages and disadvantages of the text-source.
The last Hollywood production, simultaneously claiming global box office success and offering a story that could interest someone older than the primary school, was, for a moment - "Avatar." Of course, the public had the right to expect a comparable shock.
In the dry residue, we got a simple thriller with a simplistic intrigue, an inexpressive main character and tired James Bond. Never shared the enthusiasm for David Fincher, considering him an artisan of the level of Joel Schumacher, but in no way a visionary, an innovator. Delight over the suspense and forcing viscous hysteria seemed flimsy. The Swedish specificity seems to be represented exclusively by the artificial lack of rejuvenating makeup on the faces of the heroines Wright and Richardson. The audience around the world, apparently, also remained unhappy, the word of mouth did not work, the box office fees were much lower than expected.
It seems that the history of the creation and publication of the trilogy, which is an essential component of the success of a rather faded text, did not affect the film in any way. The untimely death of the author - the left activist (not Bond at all), obviously the prototype of the protagonist, the subsequent publication and litigation over the unexpectedly huge inheritance in the form of copyrights have served a good service in the advertising company of the book. Do not guess in the background of the film of this drama.
The erotic atmosphere of the book, perhaps somewhat vulgar, is transmitted in the film in dotted lines. The hero was noted there and here, the heroine jumped somewhere else, the history of relations with partners, in no small measure determining the characters and essence of the protagonists, remained unclear. Only questions - why, for example, James Bond wrinkled woman post-Balzac, who glittered about thirty years ago in Santa Barbara. We used to see him surrounded by more presentable ladies.
Nevertheless, we are waiting for the continuation. "Girl with a dragon tattoo" is not the most exciting part of the trilogy, although how the author copes with the activity of the toy and unnatural shadow security service in the third part remains incomprehensible.
