Sightseeings of the Sverdlovsk region. Didinsky tunnel

In the Sverdlovsk region, not far from the village of Didino, there is an old tunnel. Once there were trains here. Its name - Didinsky - he received from the railway station of the same name with a settlement . Fans of Urbantrip - a new-fashioned youth stalker current, whose goal is to visit abandoned objects - have long been chosen this place.

The Didinsky tunnel. History

In ancient, tsarist times, the railroad running through this turn connected two large cities - Kazan and Yekaterinburg. Later, under the Soviet regime, along this branch, but only in one direction, the staff of "Sverdlovsk-Druzhinino" went. Back the train was going along a different path, passing through the underground corridor. Once Didinsky tunnel, a photo of which is presented in the article, was an important strategic object. The territory adjoining the construction was surrounded by a thorn, the paramilitary guard carried day and night guards. In our time there is nothing here, just a complete desolation and hardly noticeable traces of the stay of the Soviet troops carrying round the clock to ensure the safety of the railway communication. Stalkers visiting these places found here multiple echoes of their presence - dilapidated pillboxes, remains of beds and other items.

Legends and legends

This place has not been without tragedies. According to eyewitnesses, after the opening of the Didinsky tunnel, one of the construction leaders committed suicide. It was said that due to the erroneous calculations of this man, gross mistakes were made ... And among people there is a rumor that somewhere in the vicinity of the Didinsky tunnel in the ground lies the untold treasures of Admiral Kolchak, which he tried to hide from the Bolsheviks. His echelons when retreating to Siberia passed just along this road.

The Tale of Our Time

Everything here is literally permeated with mystical mystery. Both entrances to the Didina tunnel, covered with rare vegetation, very much resemble the outlines of the tower of an ancient fortress. The portals that make up the entrance group are very beautiful. When you look at them you might think that you were in some fantastic, unreal kingdom, populated by elves. The length of the tunnel is 1123 meters. According to some archival data, it was pierced from both sides simultaneously, but because of the designer's error they did not connect at the right point. For this reason, the stone corridor is slightly curved, but the opposite entrance is still visible through it.

Stalkersky Paradise

Movement on the underground passage began in 1918 and continued until December 1995. After the detour route was built away from the tunnel, the compounds through it stopped grooming. The facility has a very complex wastewater disposal system. In our time it has decayed and almost ceased to fulfill its functions. Therefore, inside the corridor in the warm season there is always a lot of water and smooth, like polished ice. The area in front of the tunnel, if there are no heavy rains, is always dry, and under its arches at any time of year the icy cold reigns, and icicles hang from the ceiling. Stalkers strongly recommend visiting this place in good rubber boots, so as not to soak your feet. In the center of the structure there is a ventilation shaft with a depth of just over 50 m. Numerous niches in the walls of the corridor serve to ensure that when the train approaches you can take cover and wait. Due to the severe dilapidation and large amount of water, the Didinsky tunnel is recognized as an emergency-dangerous object. Being in its territory can lead to unpleasant, even tragic consequences for health and life. There is a danger of falling into deep, unguarded wells or getting a blow to the stone that rolled down from above. To avoid injury and not to suffer, you need to exercise maximum caution. For fans of extreme sports, there is the possibility of descent into wells that are located nearby, and inspection of drainage branches. At the moment, the Didinsky tunnel is cleared of all railroad tracks. The fact that here once lay sleepers and rails, remind only the remains of the mound. From metal gratings, which once closed the entrances to the dungeon, there was nothing left either. Therefore, with penetration inside, no problems arise.

The Didinsky tunnel. How to get to this place?

You can get there in two ways: by train and by car. On the electric train that follows the route "Yekaterinburg-Druzhinino", you need to get to the platform "1590 km". Further walk from the station, without going to the other side of the tracks, through the village to the old railway embankment. Now right about a hundred meters between the houses and to the right, a few hundred meters away the portal of the tunnel will appear. If you want, you can reach the place by car. For these purposes, the SUV is best suited. It is necessary to move along the Moscow tract (Ekaterinburg-Perm), through Revda. After the sign to Khomutovka, do not miss the left turn.
