The film "The Breakthrough": actors and roles. The plot of the movie

The action "Hard" (actors: Guy Pearce, Vincent Regan, Maggie Grace, Lenny James, Joseph Gilgan) is called a successful cocktail from the traditions of the cult "Die Hard" and romantic old-time comedies about the inexorable attraction of opposites. Produced by his eminent Luc Besson, and shot two gifted debutant from Dublin - James Mather and Stephen St. Ledger. To every second looking, especially if he is a fan of the cinema of the 90's, the spirit of the notorious "old school" in the fantastic action movie "Napraprom" (2012) will befog his head. The actors who took part in the work on the film do not question this statement.

Forced retraining

In the early 2000's forced forced to retrain the fans of two cinematographers - an action movie and science fiction, which literally restarted and ceased to exist in the usual way for the 90's. But recently they have slowly started to return, however, somewhat in a postmodern format. One of the most significant flagships of such a comeback was the company Europa Corp. Under the leadership of Luc Besson. He, without thinking twice, turned the most clever feint. Being one of the "front-runners" of the "new wave" of French cinema, Besson practically returned the genre cinema to the strict producer dictatorship, which was previously allegedly overthrown by the first "new wave" and its Hollywood followers.

Free spin-off. Plot

Creation of Europa Corp. 2012 with a capacious title "Naprolom" (the actors, unlike the unknown debutant directors, are quite famous) among the flooded movie screens of pseudo-realistic "borons" and comic book heroes looks like a free spin-off of "The Expendables", the plot action of which is transferred to outer space. Events unfold in the distant 2079. Special agent with a strange name Snow (Guy Pearce) is suspended from the case, charged with treason and sent to the orbital prison, where prisoners are for life introduced into eternal lethargy. But everything goes awry because of the violent activities of the president's daughter (Maggie Grace). She, as a true human rights activist, is sent to the newest space colony with an inspection. This event does not leave unattended ex-associates of prisoners. As a result, all convicts wake up, develop violent activities, demanding amnesty. Now all the hope for Snow, who gets a chance to gain freedom in exchange for the return of a wayward daughter alive and unharmed from the hectic prison rebellion.

Without orbital complexes

Authors of the film "The Breakthrough", the actors and roles of which were personally selected by Besson, returned to the fantastic action movie what he lacked so. They are the main protagonist have made an insanely charismatic shirt-guy, who wants to look like every second looking. Guy Pearce is an eminent actor, who has earned the public's liking and recognition of film critics by several works (like "Proposal" or "Los Angeles Secrets"). Here, in this project, he sparkles with a tempting smile, releasing another group of extras. Of course, Snow's role in the film academy will not be reckoned to him, but it's clear how Pierce feels the undisguised pleasure of his work, and this infects virtually any moviegoer. And really, alone against 500 - is this a problem?

Actress Maggie Grace conscientiously played the image of "the lady in trouble" (she does not get used to the role of the beauty, which is saved from bandits, for example, in the "Hostage"). From the antagonists I was pleased and remembered in the role of a real scumbag and crazy brother of the leader of the criminals, like the freak Haydel Joseph Gilgan - a typical English actor. He is known to the viewer on TV projects This is England and Misfits. His more intelligent older brother Alex is played by Vincent Regan, also a famous English actor. Regan starred in such films as "300 Spartans", "Troy" and "Joan of Arc." The actors of the movie "Overcast" (2012) were imbued with the spirit of the picture and created bright, impressive characters.

Their trunks in 1991 did not hang around idly

In 1991, comedy fighters experienced their "Golden Age". Most of these films, which later received the status of standard and cult, mercilessly exploited the reception of a clash of opposites, that is, united in a team of characters with opposite characters, ways and goals in life. John Badam did not start experimenting either. Inviting the celebrities Michael G. Fox and James Woods to the main roles, and for the role of the main antagonist - the colorful Stephen Lang, he took up the creation of the action film Hard Way, he also "Naprolom" (film, 1991). Actors, filmed in the tape, with pleasure embodied on the screen the idea of the director.

Always relevant

John Badam is a rather talented director specializing in filming a purely entertaining movie. Moreover, in his works there is no clearly pronounced adult context, humor unobtrusive, easy, and the characters are insanely charming, so his films are appealing to both adults and children. Perhaps, thanks to this circumstance, his films were relevant in the dashing 90s, are modern in our confused modernity and will continue to be in demand. As in the rest of his paintings, the director in the project "The Fast" (the actors barely kept up with the tricks) "warms up" closer to the climax, over-zealous in satiating the final episodes with spectacular stunt scenes. And he does it to extend all the situations in which the main characters find themselves trying to catch the elusive killer maniac.

Plot

The famous Hollywood star Nick Lang (Michael J. Fox) is determined to change his image of "nice guy" and convincingly play the role of "cool" cop. Fate is supportive of him and provides a chance to gain experience in practice. To enter the image, Nick goes to a real police station in New York, where he is identified as a partner for an old-fashioned detective John Mossom (James Woods). An eccentric couple is looking for a real maniac who has been terrorizing the city for some time.

The main actors

Actor Michael J. Fox is too successful in applying the techniques of comic, preferring more direct actions in the embodiment of the image of his character, this affects the individual episodes of the film "All in one." Actor James Woods somewhat bored the viewer in the faded image of the eternal cop, not enough stars from heaven, but always seeking justice. Ten years later, the movie "Shaw Begins" will be released, the creators of which will borrow the idea of John Badam not only with heroes - the cop and Hollywood celebrity, but also with the type of protagonists.

Direct action

In 2004, the creative union of director Sidney J. Fury and screenwriter Greg Mellot figured out if one person could radically change the situation. As a result, the world saw the movie "Hard" (actors: Dolph Lundgren, Donald Burda, Polly Shannon, Rotaford Gray, Conrad Dunn). This low-budget fighter can safely be called a tribute to the steep fighters of the 80s and early 90s, in which the whole situation was saved by one character - an exemplary protagonist, who is on his way to achieve the goal. Here in the movie Sidney J. Fury, the central character - police Frank - crushes on his way everyone and everything. Corrupted colleagues oppose him. The film is straightforward and patterned in its structure. The performer of the main role, despite the enthusiastic assessment of the public of his physical form, disappointed with his acting skills. Lundgren's game in this film received negative reviews and sarcastic comments.

"Icebreaker"

Director and screenwriter David Jankola in 2000 took a picture, the name of which in literal translation sounds like "Icebreaker". But thanks to the wisdom of domestic adapters in the CIS countries, she went on the rental as a movie "Head-on". Actors Sean Astin, Stacy Keach, Bruce Campbell and Suzanne Turner, reincarnated in their characters, presented the viewer a story about an incident involving the fall of an aircraft with stolen nuclear warheads. In addition to FBI agents, a unit of international terrorists under the command of Greig (Bruce Campbell) is sent to search for a valuable cargo. The plane crashes near the prestigious ski resort, so the militants take hostage all tourists. To escape the lamentable fate was only rescuer Matt. He alone has to release the hostages and prevent terrorists from taking possession of the dangerous cargo (given that the deadly patient Greig is ready in the event of a fiasco to arrange a local nuclear Apocalypse).
