Children, like any person, are closer to the story of one than the story of an impersonal multitude. Even voicing Talalikhin's feat briefly, you can light a light in the hearts of children. Show how courageous and brave can be ordinary, the same as they are a guy.

Such examples should inspire accomplishments, stir up consciousness and evoke true feelings: joy, pride, sadness, faith.

What prints offer us today does not always reflect reality. It can not be said that children receive false information. But, not having a certain knowledge, they take everything literally.

Here is an example. Everyone knows that Soviet pilots are recognized as real aces of the last war: Ivan Kozhedub, Alexander Pokryshkin, Victor Talalikhin feat, which recalls courage and dedication.

Seeing such figures, it is logical to come to the conclusion that the best were called not those. But not everyone knows that the Soviet soldiers responsibly approached the calculation: the shot down was considered an aircraft only after the discovery of its wreckage. The story of one hero

In 1918 on September 18, in the small village of Teplovka, a little boy was born. Then no one could think, what difficult times it is for him to survive, how much hard and tortuous way his destiny prepares for him. Victor's parents became a mom and dad for the third time. They were ordinary working peasants.

Over the years, the Talalikhin family moved to Volsk. My father went to work at a local factory. Victor in these years attended school, and after her graduation the family moved to Moscow. The big city opened up new prospects and provided more choices.

Young active boy at the same time attended classes factory factory and worked at a meat-packing plant. Then only Talalikhin dreamed of the sky. The feat was waiting for him in the future.

First steps in aviation

The boy was drafted into the army in 1937. Thanks to the Komsomol trip he got to the aviation school, which he graduated after one year. Thus began the path on which Talalikhin accomplished his feat.

Victor's war story began in the twenty-seventh Fighter Regiment. Here, as in the aviation school, everyone noted the special abilities of the guy: he was an excellent pilot. In all actions, resoluteness and boldness were clearly discernible.

In late 1939, during the Soviet-Finnish war, Victor Talalikhin took part in the battle for the first time. He will make his feat later, but during this campaign the young pilot managed to distinguish himself.

Fate or luck already then sent the plane to the guy. In the first battle he shot down the enemy. For the entire period of the Finnish company Talalikhin destroyed four units.

After this successfully completed special courses Victor was appointed commander of the whole link.

Smiling on a tired face

Probably, every pilot remembers his first victory, won over the enemy. This day was remembered by Victor. Talalikhin did not yet perform his feat, but he already felt the taste of superiority. In the evening, his associates and friends began to question him about the events that had taken place. Everyone was interested in the details, each representing himself in the place of a brave pilot.

The story was short and capacious, a minimum of details and no descriptions of experiences and fear. Only solutions: bold and risky, taken in a matter of seconds.

The guy smiled, it seemed that everything was given to him easily and at ease. Only he felt the severity of the events, he was exhausted, but never showed it to the environment. Kept to the end.

After a short rest and a cigarette smoked in silence, Victor again hurried to his plane. We must always be ready for departure, postpone checking and repair impossible.

Despite the difficulties of that time, the pilot was determined and the inner fire.

Hot Summer

A sudden blow to Germany caught everyone in the Soviet Union by surprise. The first days and months of the war were tragic and especially difficult. People took time to realize all that had happened, to reconcile themselves with reality and engage in a struggle.

Aviation was especially difficult. German troops had more modern aircraft, weapons and excellent professionals. The strongest losses were received by the air forces of our army in the first hours of the attack. Many airfields were destroyed by a number of massed strikes.

Very little remained until the moment when Talalikhin's feat was accomplished. The year 1941 changed the lives of millions of people.

The regiment, in which Viktor served, was transferred to the borders of Moscow. Before them there was a goal - to defend the south-west direction, to protect the heavenly space and not to admit the enemy to the capital.

During the entire period of the Second World War, German pilots could not inflict serious damage on Moscow. This was not the last role played by Soviet fighter pilots.

Memorial night

So we came to the moment when the pilot Talalikhin made a feat. On the night of the sixth to the seventh of August 1941, an order was received to intercept enemy bombers.

Victor was sitting at the helm of the I-16. Having gained a height of more than four thousand meters, Talalikhin met the German "Henkel-111" and sat on his tail. An air battle began. The Soviet fighter hit one of the enemy's engines, but the latter continued to skillfully evade the pursuit. Victor went to the next round to finish off the enemy. And then I realized that the ammunition was over.

At some point, the thought came of the ramming of an enemy aircraft. Climbing to the tail of Henkel, Victor was wounded in the arm, but still assembled and completed a deadly maneuver - crashed into the enemy. At the last moment he managed to open the parachute and landed. Residents of the nearest village helped the pilot to get out of the river. The plane of the Germans crashed, the crew of four died.

From heaven to heaven

Now you know what a feat was accomplished by the pilot Talalikhin. For this he was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.

At 23, Lieutenant Talalikhin became commander of the squadron. Many more times he cut through the vast expanses of space over Moscow, defending and protecting him from German aces. For this time alone and as a part of small groups has brought down four enemy ships.

The last battle, which took the life not only of Viktor, took place in October 1941. More than five fighters under his command went into battle to support ground forces. It happened in the air above the village of Kamenka.

The next battle was fierce and intense. Victor managed to knock down one enemy and killed the second, as just three German crews opened fire on his plane.

Dozens of hungry bullets began to bite into the side, one of them hit the pilot's head.

Management was lost, the machine, like a huge iron bird, collapsed to the ground.

So the life of a young soldier of the Soviet Union, already hardened by fights, was cut short.

"Kid"

Having performed his feat, Talalikhin was impressed with many, as an image of a fearless, courageous and assertive man. But the circle of relatives and friends knew a completely different guy: a radiant smile, cheerful, laid-back and artistic. He was a particularly kind and pleasant person.

In school years he attended a drama club and, as the leaders noted, was not deprived of acting talent. Perhaps, in peacetime, his fate would have been different, and the name went down in history thanks to other accomplishments.

During the treatment, he did not sit in his pants at the hospital. Attended rallies, communicated with workers and young people, conducted agitation work.

Victor's height was only one meter fifty-five centimeters. Therefore, in the circle of friends he was called "Kid".

Talalikhin was not immediately taken seriously in the flight school. Such a small growth caused doubts in the successful teaching. But the pressure and perseverance of the guy showed a completely different result.

Finds of our time

Not so long ago, in the forests of Domodedovo district, the workers of the economy came to the edge, where there were traces, barely perceptible to the eye, from a huge crater. The view was old enough, the order of the earth dragged on and overgrown. And on one of the trees found a rusty old plate.

Such findings are not uncommon in places where battles took place during the Great Patriotic War. People still find details of equipment, equipment. However, attention was drawn to the plate. What information did she contain?

After performing certain manipulations, it was cleared. The inscription intrigued the researchers. It said that it was in this place that Victor's plane fell. The very one on which he made a ram. The tablet was signed by the name of the pioneer Katko Alla. There was also information that she had installed her in August 1971, following the eyewitness accounts of that event.

Is this really the place where the plane was buried, on which Talalikhin performed his feat?

Excavations

The find made historians and local historians do research. A search group was formed, which in June 2014 moved to the specified place. In the first two days parts of the engine, chassis, and some control mechanisms were found.

In the future, excavations have progressed just as successfully. It was established (thanks to the surviving recordings of the license plate numbers of the aircraft and the engine), that this is the car on which the feat of the pilot Talalikhin was accomplished.

They found a side watch, the hands of which pointed to half past eleven. It is this time recorded in historical reports as the moment of the ram.

After carrying out all the necessary work, the aircraft will become part of the exhibits of the museum in Domodedovo.

Everlasting memory

Petersburg, Omsk, Moscow, Lipetsk, Tambov, Gomel, Volsk, Kaliningrad and dozens of cities have on their list the streets named after Victor Talalikhin. Schools and colleges bear the name of this hero.

I want the residents to know what Talalikhin did. We remembered about him and about other simple, but great people who gave their lives for the sake of a prosperous future.
