The engine is on fire. What to do?

Trouble engine - this problem is not so common, but in some cases it can be difficult to diagnose. This phenomenon in the circle of technicians was called "missioning". If any cylinder does not work, then the engine of the car starts to wear out quickly due to several reasons. For example. Gasoline, which enters a non-functioning cylinder does not burn, but accumulates on the walls. Then it is mixed with engine oil and enters the crankcase. Because of this, the oil gradually "diluted", its quality is deteriorating significantly - and after a certain time, non-standard oil enters the working cylinders. As a result, the compression of the internal combustion engine is reduced, favorable conditions are created for creating scuffing on the pistons, cylinder walls, precision planes and on other parts that come into contact with the oil. If serviceability is not eliminated, the engine will start operating in a different temperature mode, starts to overheat.

Why is the engine running? How to carry out the diagnosis?

1. Diagnostics must begin with the verification of the formation of a spark. First you need to unscrew the candle and inspect it. With a normally running engine, the color of the electrode and insulator should be slightly brown and light. If there is a smudging of the insulator and the electrode, then it is worthwhile to be alerted, since this is a clear sign that there is a "casting" of motor oil or "enrichment" with fuel. Because of this, the candle can either not work at all, or it can work poorly or irregularly (which causes the engine to crash). Causes of carbon deposit formation:

- prolonged operation of the internal combustion engine in the regime of overheating or idling in the event that a candle of an inappropriate glow number is screwed;

- In the cylinder, reduced compression;

- the check valve is defective;

- violation or displacement of the phases of the gas distribution;

- broken work of injectors;

- the oxygen sensor is not working properly.



The body of the candle should be white, it should not have black dots or stripes. Their presence indicates the deterioration of the candle and that it must be replaced. If visual inspection of the results did not bring, then you can check the sparking when scrolling the starter.

2. Wires high-voltage - they need to be removed and carefully considered. The tip of the wire that goes into the candle should be of a monochromatic color.

3. The cover of the distributor of ignition - it should be carefully examined both inside, and outside. Often, the engine is damaged due to one problem - the breakdown of the cover, which may occur due to too high a voltage created by a high-voltage wire or a faulty candle.

4. There are also possible situations when the engine is knocked down due to the injector. This happens in the following cases:

- any fault in the injector;

- use of fuel of poor quality or because of the use of some injector cleaners;

- the closure of the power circuits.

5. If the engine is at idle or on the gear, the vehicle owner needs to contact the car service as soon as possible. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the high-voltage wires are reversed in places. It is for this master to pay attention first.
