The invention of a bicycle with the possibility of using motor power is also a useful achievement, since now the scope of cycling will be able to move to a qualitatively new level. Most people love the bicycle, because the simplicity of the design and the ability to overcome a sufficiently large distance (compared to walking) have made it the most common mode of transport on our planet. However, the engineering idea does not stand still, and today we can see a special bicycle engine for sale, which can be equipped with almost any modern two-wheeled vehicle.

It should immediately be noted that in addition to internal combustion engines, there are also electric motors, which in their popularity even overtake gasoline. Many may wonder - why, although the answer here lies on the surface. The fact is that the bicycle was initially positioned as an environmentally friendly means of transportation, as a result of which there are no harmful emissions. If the engine for a bicycle is gasoline, it will most likely resemble a moped, which has nothing to do with bicycles. But in the case of an electric motor, we get a completely new tool that has all the prospects for its further development.

In the modern world, leading cycling companies are increasingly considering new projects by leading engineers installing a battery of electric motors on a bicycle. Already today on sale there are bicycles, which are equipped with everything necessary for a long trip. Such a motor for a bicycle allows you to travel on one charge up to 15-20 km, and, in case of battery discharge, you can always use the pedals and reach your destination. Modern electric bicycles are equipped with lithium-ion, as well as lithium-phosphate batteries, which have proven themselves in the conditions of such operation. In addition, some models of bicycles can be completed with lead and nickel-metal hydride, but their degree of charging is much lower than lithium. The electric motor on this bike is controlled by a special controller, which monitors the power of the battery charge. At low charging, it starts signaling that it's time to switch to pedal control mode, since it is not recommended to fully dilute the battery.

The gasoline engine for a bicycle has a number of advantages in terms of power and duration of movement at one gas station. In addition, at any gas station, you can always refuel your bike, so you can rewind it for more than a dozen kilometers. However, here there are some drawbacks, among which is the rather large weight of such a vehicle, the big noise from the running engine, as well as the general pollution of the environment.

The electric motor on a bicycle has an advantage in terms of easy charging, because for this it needs to be included in a common electrical network with a voltage of 220 volts. In addition to all of the above, some electric bicycles are equipped with special mechanisms that allow you to maintain the speed of the bike at a given level (cruise control), and also recharge the battery slightly under smooth braking (recuperation).

Thus, summing up the above, it can be concluded unequivocally that a bicycle engine based on electric energy is the most suitable for this type of transport. If we talk about internal combustion engines, then for bicycles they have little chance of further development. However, the choice always remains with our customers, because only a specific consumer can choose for himself the vehicle that will suit him best.
