The coat of arms of the Novosibirsk region. Description and symbols

Each region of the Russian Federation has its own coat of arms and a flag, which has a certain semantic load. Many cities located beyond the Urals are chosen as the main symbol of endemics, that is, those animals that are most often found in the area. So the Novosibirsk region has marked the sable spirit with its coat of arms.

Description

The coat of arms of the Novosibirsk region was approved in 2003. Officially, it was secured through Law No. 119-OZ "On the arms of the Novosibirsk Region".

For this symbol, the classic French form was chosen, which was widely used among heraldry in the Russian Federation.

The lower corners have a smooth rounding, and the middle part is rounded to the bottom. On the sides the coat of arms is made in silver, and the middle is painted in blue.

The main characters of the composition are two sables, which are depicted standing on their hind legs, while at the front they hold a loaf with a salt shaker at the top. The lower part is encircled by a strip that is made in black on a white background, and on a blue one in white.

Symbolism

The coat of arms of the Novosibirsk region was created taking into account the development of the region, relying on its individual characteristics. Sable from ancient times is a symbol of the whole of Siberia, so the authors chose these predatory animals as their main element. The golden loaf placed in the center of the shield indicates goodwill and hospitality, as well as the abundance and development of agriculture.

As for the color design of the coat of arms, it is also not chosen by chance. Silver color symbolizes purity of thoughts and souls, as well as endless Siberian expanses and severe winter. Azure pillar, located in the middle of the composition, characterizes the river Ob and all the water resources of the region.

Along this territory is the Trans-Siberian Railway, which also did not go unnoticed: it was depicted on the coat of arms as a horizontal belt.

Description of the flag of the Novosibirsk region

The flag of the region is very similar to the coat of arms of the Novosibirsk region. It also depicts two sables holding a loaf. The background is a cloth, with stripes of red, white, blue and green. Their width is easiest to consider in relation to the length, which will be 5: 3: 2: 3: 5.

Symbolism

The flag is designed taking into account the individual characteristics of the region. The basic composition is similar to the coat of arms and has the same meaning as described above. The main difference between the two characters are the two broadest bands of green and red.

Green color embodies the rich Siberian land, abundance, vitality and natural regeneration of the region. Initially, the second extreme band was also executed in green, but at the insistence of the CPRF party it was changed to red. He is a symbol of the memory of the courage and heroism of the Novosibirsk men who valiantly defended their homeland during the war.

The coat of arms and the flag of the Novosibirsk region resonate with each other and reflect the historical symbolism of the region.

Coats of arms of the Novosibirsk region

All areas of the Novosibirsk region have created their own symbols, taking into account the specifics of the social and economic development of the regions.

  • Novosibirsk - the authors chose the French form of a shield, which is most characteristic for the Russian heraldry. On the diagonal is a blue, wavy ribbon, which symbolizes the water resources of the area. The right field of green color, which speaks of health and natural wealth, and the left field of silver, it indicates the purity of thoughts and boundless Siberian snow. In the middle there is a ribbon that turns into a golden bridge on a blue background, this element represents the Trans-Siberian Railway and the bridge across the Ob. Two sables act as shield holders. Above the shield there is a scarlet tower crown. In the lower part there is a red bow with black arrows and a ribbon, depicting the Russian tricolor.
  • Berdsk - as the main composition, the authors chose the intersection of the Ob and Berd rivers. At the bottom of the shield the Berdsky prison is depicted, from which the foundation of the city began. Background is executed in green and silver colors.
  • Iskitim - on a green background, in the form of a circle, an ear, a gear and a construction worker are depicted, a cement plant is located between them. In the lower part of the blue wave, and on top of the scarlet background flaunts the name of the city.
  • Kolyvan - one of the oldest arms of Siberia, was approved on May 8, 1946. In the upper part there is the Tomsk emblem, and in the lower, on a silver background, two haystacks connected by peaks are depicted. Next to them is a sickle.
  • Kuibyshev - like all other areas of the Novosibirsk region, the city chose as its base the French shield. It is completely painted in red, and in the middle is a golden, walking bull.
