On this list of cities that received the title, is over. Perhaps in the near future it will be updated with new names, since it can not be said that during the war there were such cities whose residents did not show courage, trying to stop the danger that is coming to their homeland.

The symbol of the city of military glory

The stela was approved by the Organizing Committee under the name "Victory". This happened after summing up the results of the All-Russian competition. Under the memorable stela is meant the column, which is crowned with the emblem of the Russian Federation. It is installed on the corresponding pedestal, on the front side of which is located the text of the decree on the appointment of an honorary title.

In the corners of the square there are special bas-reliefs depicting certain events that served as a reason for obtaining the title.

Opening of the complex

In 2010, there was an opening of an architectural ensemble called "Tomb of the Unknown Soldier". This happened after all the necessary restoration work. The complex is located in the Alexander Garden near the Moscow Kremlin. The structure includes a stele, on which the names of all cities with an honorary title are marked.

Heroic cities can now enter the collection

More recently, they began to issue coins with emblems of those cities whose inhabitants showed special heroism and steadfastness in the fight against the enemy. The nominal value is 10 rubles. Cities of military glory can now enter into one large collection. To do this, you just need to collect all the coins. And, most likely, there will be a lot of people wishing to collect such a collection.

Conclusion

In this review, those cities that were awarded the highest rank - "Cities of Military Glory" were listed. Their inhabitants died, trying to stop the invasion of enemy forces. They stopped the advance of the enemy for precious hours, days, weeks and months. They did everything to bring the Victory closer. And they succeeded.
